I absolutely love this place, its definitely worth the trip coming from an outer borough. My favorite stylist by far is Cielo. I am sure many can agree it is difficult to find a great stylist; well after many tries I am certain I have found mine. This woman KNOWS what she is doing.

To begin with, she is very friendly and always professional. In addition, she is confident in her work and skillful in her craft. I have trusted her with my hair many times from haircuts, to different styles of coloring... I've learned the hard way that not everyone who claims to be a stylist can help you achieve the look you desire. Cielo was able to lighten my hair when I decided I no longer wanted dark hair. I was a little apprehensive about doing this as I have very fine hair and feared damaging it beyond repair. Cielo assured me the process would be as least damaging as possible. She put me at ease and went to work! I loved the end result; received endless compliments and most importantly my hair was not damaged in the process. The aforementioned, is just one of my pleasant experiences with Cielo. She has also transformed my once limp hair to one full of life and volume with my favorite haircut, which is now the usual at my appointments. What always adds the special touch is that she always takes the time to explain what after care routine I should use for my hair after a new style. I have recommended her to friends who are equally pleased with her work. I have noticed negative reviews on here about Cielo and can't help but assert that these reviews are far from who she is as a stylist or person. The allegations documented on here ; especially on her work ethic are bogus. I assure you...not only will Cielo offer outstanding customer service each and every time but she will transform your hair into anything you request. This woman is talented and dedicated to her craft...her work speaks...

I recently went to Shaggy Hair Studio to get a hair cut. I had not gone to the salon in over 5 years. I was nervous to get my hair cut because I loved my length and it is hard to find a salon that will listen to what I want and have it done correctly.

I got stylist Cielo and explained to her what I was looking for. She was very eager and excited to be the first stylist in five years to cut my hair. I have very dark hair so she recommended that I get lowlights. I also explained that I loved the V shape cut with side layers.

When I got my hair washed, I could tell that it was washed correctly because it felt so clean. I was then taken to the stylist chair and Cielo proceeded to cut my hair. I could tell she knew what she was doing and had listened to everything I had told her. I did have to cut at least 3 inches because of the damage over the years but she managed to keep my length and create the layers that I have wanted for a long time. I love that my lowlights were very subtle because I did not want a drastic color change. I wanted it to look as natural as possible. I do not like a lot of bounce, so after she blow dried my hair I asked her to straighten it with the flat iron. She understood exactly what I was looking for.

After seeing some of the other reviews posted about Cielo, I was shocked to see the negative comments written about her. I find it hard to believe that anyone could be so dissatisfied. I absolutely loved the way my hair came out. I have upload 2 photos of the great job that she did. I think that Cielo is such a great person to be around. She was smiling and seemed very laid back. I would definitely recommend Cielo and the Shaggy...

For the past fifteen years of my life I have entrusted my hair to Oren and Yossi at Shaggy Hair Studio and it is absolutely one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Everyone working there is friendly, experienced, and respectful. The environment is super clean and welcoming to all. There are no shortcoming in any department at Shaggy Hair Studio, and your hair dreams are their passion! In terms of their work they are nothing but professional. Time and time again I go in with messy hair, and come out looking clean and fresh. It is now a common experience for my friends and family to comment on my hair and how I’m now a “totally new person” because of it. Being born with extremely curly and frizzy hair I asked Oren about my different options to straighten my hair and come to my desired look. After he thoroughly explained the different routes I could take, and I fully understood each of them, I was able to make an informed decision. Afterwards what I asked for was done impeccably and every time I do the hair straightening treatment I come out looking like a movie star! I promise whatever result you are looking for in your hair, Oren and Yossi will use every tool in their arsenal to bring out an unimaginable and stunning result. I am proud to be a longtime customer of theirs and I hope whoever is reading this will soon also reap the benefit of going there!
