CONT' VIA ALYSSA RIVERA... They are short of staff, short on supplies and if you ask them for a diaper, they say that they have to go downstairs because there is no diapers on this floor, the staff are extremely lazy and they do not care about none of these patients, they just care about the money!!! He was admitted at 6:00pm on September 16th,2017, so why the lady who was assigned to him, comes in here close to 9:00pm when her shift is almost ending, if I was not there, he would have been soaking in pee?!!! So the next day on September 17th,2017, my uncle is there with my grandfather, and the first thing that he notice is that my grandfather is drenched in urine, they did not change him at all and he also notices that its cold in the room but my grandfather is drenched in sweat and he is having difficulty breathing, my uncle literally had to go off and get mad, and it seemed like they didn't care, they did come though. so they take his vitals, the lady named Grace, that took his vitals slips and say "this equipment is always broken, doesn't even really work." checks his oxygen "97" ,but he is in pain so they gave my grandfather "Morphine", they do this thing when it is time to give medication they ask you to step out of the room for some reason, made me wonder if they are giving the correct medication. So my sister, his other granddaughter ends up coming to see him, he looks worst than before, his body is cold to the touch but he is still drenched in sweat and his breathing has gotten worst, so my sister calls the nurse and tells her, all she says is that she is going to call the" supervisor", supervisor never came or called back. To find out there is only 1 doctor there at this facility of 400 patients, my sister asks for the doctor and they say "he is feeding somebody right now" this whole time they keep saying oh he looks fine to me. My uncle from the beginning kept on telling them that something is wrong with his father but nobody didn't care or listen. So my sister ends up calling "911", the EMT shows up, they check his oxygen, and its "78" like are you kidding me?! The entire time his oxygen was "78". Grace his nurse lied and said she noticed this at 6:00pm, she lied because my uncle kept saying something is wrong from this morning. My grandfather was suffering from a Cardiac Arrest this whole time and this facility did absolutely nothing!! The nurse was literally running out the door with her purse and jacket leaving to go home and not caring!! If my sister was not there, no 911 would have been called. My grandfather was rushed to lenox hill hospital, they did a x-ray on him, you couldn't even see his lungs because there was so much fluid, to find out he had gotten pneumonia, the hospital gave him a C-PAP machine, he started throwing up, suffered a seizure and unfortunately passed away yesterday night on September 17th, 2017! I blame this facility the cause of my grandfathers death because if they would have rushed him to the hospital in the morning he definitely would have had more time being alive and us spending more time with him! If you care and love your family members, I highly suggest and recommend that you please take them out of this facility! This facility and the whole entire Staff, Doctor, and Supervisors does not care about these patients at all, they do not check up on them, they neglect all of them, they mistreat them, abuse them, disrespect them. So if your family members are still alive, take them out of here! This is not a place for nobody to be in! THEY NEED TO...
Read moreI went there for rehabilitation due to an accident, nothing to do with the nursing home of this facility. Regardless, don’t even think of coming here! It is the worst run place you will have ever seen in every department and so many 100% agree with me at the facility and just look at the lousy reviews prior to mine!! First of all you meet the dietitian and she could never get a single portion correct regardless of how many phone calls to her. The exercise facilities are old, broken down, rusty, and nobody cleans it throughout the day after so many customers are using them. The two physicians on duty, and have a look at one of their reviews as a doctor, have their lines taken off the hook so you can never ever reach them And the same for the Director of the rehabilitation dept. The nurses were OK and some of them were very good, the only good feature, but many of their aids would not even get a job underground anywhere, they were rude, condescending, and obviously hate their jobs and likely hate the place also!! The food absolutely stunk and I realized they cannot season food in a nursing facility because of so many allergies to spices. Regardless, unhealthy and stunk! I lost about 9 pounds in 20 days. Maybe even slightly more. Mice and roaches they say almost everywhere but to be honest I did not see them but many complained about it in their rooms. Took days for laundry to come out of the machines and back to your room I overheard many saying but I never had laundry . They are trying to put the sheet on only half the bed so the other half of your body is on filthy mattress scratchy! I had to tell them how I wanted my sheets. Imagine selling a facility how they have to put the bedding on so you could at least lay down! No wheelchairs for broken arm patients so you were extremely uncomfortable in the exercise room with the arm too high up on the chair. It took off and 1/2 hour to get a nurse or a nursing aide to come to your room no matter how much you rang the bell. I understand mini mini years ago it was an elite facility just like the Manning but no more. And They mixed up my medical records and they don’t even call you back after leaving messages. I guess they don’t realize how frantic people can become when they have medical records containing their credit cards and all their personal information are mixed up with somebody else. They will be sued if any damage has been done by this. All of this is based on my experience, facts relating to meet and only to me although I must say my roommate I shared the room with can tell you more stories! She’s lactose intolerant and got milk and cream with everyone of her meals after she asked them zillion times to stop sending that up on the tray! She also stated that the doctor lied on the application to extend her stay and he had to write the report all over again after he even denied he wrote it! And anybody writing a positive review as a visitor, not a client of the price, has no idea what goes on and some of their parents are two elderly to express themselves in this matter.
One elderly women try to escape at...
Read moreMy mother has been in a nursing home for 3 years. She lives on the 10th floor. Before choosing a nursing home, I did a search and came to the conclusion that your center is the best in the city. I especially liked that the recreation department works very well. The team of department employees works very well and knows how to treat residents and treat them with special attention: they know the needs and desires of residents. The work is especially well organized: live music concerts, board games and drawing and crafts. The schedule of classes and concerts for a month in advance. And of course, daily lessons and classes on the 3rd floor. Residents are looking forward to going to the 3rd floor because they want to see and talk to real people who help them with everything. I would especially like to note the department employees: Lisa, Joseph, Daniel who always helps residents when they turn to him for help with iPad and iPhone, Theanny, Irina who has assembled and leads a team of professionals. The whole team does important work so that our relatives feel comfortable at home and live a full life. Thank them very much, we feel that our relatives are in caring hands. Thank you very much.

Hello, my name is Leonid Podolyak R.N. and I work in a nursing home in New York. My mother has been living in your nursing home for 3 years and has been on different floors. For the last 2 years, she has been living on the 10th floor. At first, she got used to the environment and the workers on the floor and it was not easy of course. Over time, she got used to it and now she feels good. The floor staff deserves a lot of credit for this. I would like to note that the staff works as a team of professionals. All nurses and CNAs know their job well and understand the needs and feelings of patients, they have patience and understanding of sick people. The staff on the 10th floor are real professionals in their field. Leonid podolyak R.N.
