Sandra Velandia — Local services in New York

I've been going to this place for a couple of months now and to be fair I do like their services. However, this morning I wasn't feeling well and I called to see if I could reschedule my appointment that I had scheduled for today for next Saturday. They told me I would need to pay 50% of the service as a cancellation. I explained that I had every intention of moving forward with the service and would just need to push it back a week later. They said no, I would need to pay. I obviously am extremely dissatisfied with this customer experience. They advised me to just come in with a mask. Um, I'm getting a facial! How can I keep the mask on?! Needless to say, this is the last service I will be receiving from this place.

Sandra has been my one and only go to since starting my skin care journey over 5 years ago. I came to Sandra with much post acne scarring and a very unbalanced, overly sensitive and red skin. From the initial appointment I gained an incredible knowledge and awareness of how to care for my skin not only externally but internally and with Sandra’s guidance my skin did a complete 180 within weeks. One key thing I love is her honesty with treatments, I’ve noticed over the years it’s never about upselling but rather what your skin actually needs. Often times I’ll go in with the expectation of more only to be advised to do less. The receptionist, Maria is a gem truly goes above and beyond. & at times when Sandra’s unavailable I’ll use Paola which is an angel with her hands. I started coming to Sandra's about 4-5 years ago due to acne and pigmentation concerns. After visiting Sandra's consistently, my acne is basically non-existent, my pigmentation is at it's lowest, I have an awesome skincare routine, and I stopped the bad habit of picking at my acne! Everyone is knowledgeable and wants to genuinely give you the best experience. I love how every single product/machine of Sandra's is personally tested by her before recommending to her clients.
