Do I arrived at the skin spa early I was a asked if I wanted to use the bathroom . That was it with hospitality. Never asked if I wanted anything to drink . Also never had a conversation Bout my services who would be my aesthetician. Nothing personal at all . She could careless . Until the older white lady cane in who had a Groupon deal as well. Interestingly enough. Terrible energy and interaction. She was consistently talking to another woman at the front desk who looked like an aesthetician as well. Then Skylar came out to get me . I'm excited I'm ready . Didn't start off very exceptional at all . I say that because I've been coming to the skin spa since 2007. Referred many to the business. I got the beautiful room. Now I'm ready ,but wait Skylar just said lay down. Normally I get a terrycloth cute robe to change into . Wait what happened đł. Then I proceed to tell her my skin concerns and what she thinks I should get done . I lay down with full clothing and sneakers on . I'm so confused. I actually lay down She proceeded with one skin procedure then went to the chemical peel then another. Which because I still had my clothes on She dropped the mask on my shirt which was black never apologized nothing . Then I was finished. She never told me protocol after the chemical peel mind you like I said I've been getting services since 2007. Skylar could careless She was too fixated in her next client which she spoke of. She client after me. So because of that you did nothing close to your job . I had my clothes on . No real conversation about my skin no advice no interaction. I was treated like the help . I might as well came through the back door and I felt it deeply. A Terrible experience I was so hurt to be treated the way I was . I suppose to feel pampered I was treated like trash . I actually was gonna come back to the location ,but I said absolutely not Skylar and company are horrible at customer service and what they were trained to do . I had to call skin spa upper East side to ask if being offered a robe was still part of the experience. And then called the soho location about aftercare with my chemical peel. I have 2 more appointments left on my Groupon. I'm gonna try upper east side. Horrible experience. If you don't like black woman coming to the flatiron location just say that don't waste my time or money . I still tipped Skylar out of habit. Absolutely the worst experience in my life. I had an incredibly disappointing and painful experience at Spin Spa New York. I underwent two truSculpt iD sessions, spaced 12 weeks apart. After the first session, I saw zero results. I decided to give it another try, but after the second session, I was left with a second-degree burn on my stomach, exactly the size of the treatment pad.
What made it even worse was how the spa handled the situation. When I reported the burn, they told me to come in for an evaluation and assured me they would help. Instead, I was met with a rude and dismissive representative who was more interested in shifting blame than offering support. She insisted I sign a waiver saying I wouldnât hold them responsible, and kept repeating that the spa was not at fault â even though the burn clearly came from their equipment during their treatment.
It felt like they were more concerned with protecting themselves than helping a customer who was injured in their care. I was misled into thinking they would assist with the healing and hyperpigmentation â only to be gaslit and told they wouldnât be helping me at all.
So here I am, six months later: two truSculpt iD treatments, absolutely no visible results, and a permanent mark from a second-degree burn. I expected professionalism and accountability. Instead, I got negligence and hostility. Think twice before trusting your body to this place.

   Read moreDO NOT GO! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BY MANAGER! I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Skin Spa Flatiron. On April 6, 2025, I received a facial treatment where my esthetician convinced me to add on the Laser Genesis treatment. Unfortunately, this left me with a visible scar on my right cheek. It has now been over 2.5 months, and the scar has not faded. I have received laser treatments in the past with other providers and have not had any issues.
I first reached out to their corporate team on May 5, 2025, but never received a response. Since then, I've made numerous attempts to speak with the store manager, Begum Dirlik, but have been repeatedly dismissed or ignored. Each time I called, I was told she was either out of the office, would be back later, or unavailable -- yet I never received a return call, despite being promised one.
I've been more than patient and persistent in trying to resolve this, and it's incredibly frustrating to be met with silence -- especially when I'm dealing with a physical scar. I had previously trusted this spa and even recommended it to others, but after this experience, I can no longer do so.
The lack of accountability and basic customer service is unacceptable. I hope this review serves as a warning to others. Your skin and health deserve better care and attention than what Skin Spa Flatiron...
