Stoney Clover Lane — Local services in New York

This is a great store for a personalized gift and cannot wait to give yo my granddaughters for Christmas. However it was my first visit to the store while visiting in New York City. I spent in excess of $1000 (3 personalized bags and a few other items) and was excited they could ship to my home. Several hours after I left the store they called me back to ask for my card as they did not charge for shipping. They charged my card for shipping and added tax onto that charge. I was traveling with friends who also bought and had items shipped but were never called or charged for shipping. I called the store to share this concern and was told shipping is never waived. The manager did offer to refund that $16. Beware and ask about cost as it seems the practice of charging is not consistent. I will also mention my friend had the same sales person. I would also suggest they look at their shipping fees. The product is nice but the mark up has to be tremendous. You can make a good profit and still offer...

Update: They did make good on this bag and offered a refund after a courtesy return of the bag, minus all shipping/protection cost. Original post: A total waste of $200 !!! I ordered a jumbo fanny pack. The bag has a cheap feel to it. The buckle weights more than the whole bag (VERY HEAVY). The color has faded splotches on it. The patch is sewn on by UNmatching thread. white on yellow, really, and they charged $25 extra to sew it on like that. Sad.. And the patch isn't even the correct color. instead of white it's a dirty cream off white. Looks flat out CHEAP, like I got it at the dollar tree. So unhappy. Will never purchase another one. Please order with LOW expectations. Hopefully you won't be so let...

This was the first Stoney Clover store I’ve been to and my experience was horrible. When I walked in, nobody greeted me or even acknowledged that I was there. I understand that it takes time to be helped because other people are customizing their items, but it literally took 45 minutes to talk to someone! One of the workers that I was standing in front of to ask a question, didn’t even acknowledge that I was there and basically ignored me. Then she disappeared to the back. I just wanted to get a pouch and take the patch to go! I was saving them some work! When I finally was helped, the person who helped me was nice! Safe to say I probably won’t be back...
