Update:the StudioMD office manager reached out to correct the situation and apologize for the initial experience. When I went back the experience was so much better that I chose to buy a package. I have now selected to pursue additional services at StudioMD and am very satisfied with both the results and service. I now go to the midtown location.

Horrible experience with a consultation for laser tattoo removal. The consultation was with Nancy, she is incredibly rude and incompetent.

I have a tattoo that measures 4.5 inches by 1/2 an inch - which equates to 2.25 square inches. Yet was quoted $269 per session, when the cost is advertised as $129 for the first square inch plus an additional $10 per square inch. I told Nancy the pricing was incorrect, the tattoo was not large enough to correlate to that size. So she took out a measuring tape, and measured it in cm - not inches but equated 1 cm to 1 in. She measured the length as 16 cm - recalculated and said Its actually more than $269 now. Nancy magically came up with a new area equivalent to 8 square inches.

I said she was calculating a square inch wrong. She threw her phone, with the calculator app open, in my face and told me to calculate it myself then - utilizing a snotty tone. I said do not talk to me like that, and she stormed out of the room.

Note that I have had the same tattoo treated by LaserAway, and was billed for a 3 square inch tattoo. Additionally, I have a PhD in physics and can assure you the tattoo is far from 8 square inches.

The front-desk didn't do anything to remedy the situation - other than offer an appointment at another location.

Nancy is clearly incapable of basic math, and interpersonal skills. I would advocate that you do not trust someone with her skillset to do anything to your body. Frankly, I believe that StudioMD should be embarrassed to have someone with her technical incompetency, lack of professionalism, and poor interpersonal skills...

If I could give zero stars I would: I am a tattoo artist, and I worked at a plastic surgeons office for a long time. I have been getting lazered since I was a teenager, I have had all types of lazers and all types of people doing the lazering. NEVER have a had a receptionist be more rude or out of line. When I inquired about numbing cream they said they don't provide any? I am tattooed head to toe, and I love getting tattooed, I have the highest pain tolerance of anyone I have ever met. I have also been lazered a lot, which is definetly not as fun as getting tattooed. And as an adult paying rediculous amounts of money to get tattoos removed why should ANYBODY be uncomfortable if they don't have to be? I have extremely large areas that I need to work on and numbing cream really helps the process. And when I said I would put my own on the receptionist told me that they couldn't work on me? Which I absolutely insane. THEN when I said I won't put it on he told me he still couldn't see me. I'm sure if anyone in charge was listening they would have told him not to turn down my thousand and thousands of dollers worth of buisness on top of the fact I'm a tattoo artist so I would bring them more clients. I asked to speak to the doctor and he was never even put on the phone. Unprofessional, disrespectful and a laughable way to go about buisness especially in this day in age of reviews. He seemed to get off on making me seem like I didn't know what I was talking about when really besides being a doctor administering lazer removal I couldn't know more about it or have more experience with the process. Go somewhere else, don't waste your money on...

I've been a client of Laser Touch for about 3 years now. Personally i love the staff at the Midtown location. The staff at Soho can be pretty difficult to deal with and only concerned about making money instead of achieving client satisfaction. I had to change locations due to a move and thank god i did! The whole staff at Midtown is always so happy to see you and works to give you the best deals possible! They always offer me unbeatable prices. All the procedures I've done got me very successful results! I went in one day for laser hair removal and one of the aestheticians (Dimple) noticed my severe acne and told me about laser genesis and other products that dramatically changed my whole face! I've been so happy with my skin ever since. She such a sweet girl and genuinely want to help you achieve all you aesthetic goals! But of course its impossible to get an appointment with her, since she's always booked! But i you have the patience to wait for an appointment with her, i promise she'll make it all worth it! Honestly i rather pay money and actually achieve results, then pay less money at other places to end up unhappy with no results! If you talk to them about what exactly you want Laser Touch will get you the best results! Highly recommend everyone to get their packages from Dimple. She'll definitely give you the best prices and guaranteed positive results! I'll definitely continue using Laser Touch in midtown as long as...
