this location is SO much better than the prince street location. yesterday i went with my sister to the prince street Studs hoping to get some hoops, and we stood in the store for a few minutes before anyone even asked us if we needed help (and the store wasn’t busy) The service there overall just wasn’t great so we paid for the hoops and left.

I tried helping my sister swap out her piercing studs for the hoops but was unsuccessful so today we went to the 5th Ave location as I had previously been and had a great experience. Kendall immediately greeted us when we walked in! I explained what had happened yesterday and she said they could put in the jewelry for free (it’s free with the purchase of two earrings and since we just purchased yesterday at the other location, she would honor that) Mickey was the one that helped my sister with the earrings and did a great job. I bought myself a new earring while waiting.

Overall a very pleasant experience! And we would definitely be going to the 5th Ave location...

The reviews are all true! This was by far the most professional and thoughtful piercing experience I’ve ever had. I was able to make a same-day appointment and had very minimal wait time. Throughout my appointment everyone was so patient and I never felt rushed. Elio kindly advised me on piercing placement and jewelry selection to ensure I had a smooth healing process. I ended up doing one cartilage and one lobe. He also let my friend keep me company and offered us both water which was very thoughtful. My favorite part is that they give you a printed sheet of aftercare instructions and tell you when to come back for a complementary jewelry change (to switch from piercing jewelry to long-term). Their jewelry is all hypoallergenic and the studs are flat-back, which in my opinion makes the prices well worth it. I got pierced three days ago, and this is my first piercing experience where I didn’t have any bleeding, crust, or significant pain/swelling afterwards. I will definitely be back...

With the exception of my standard lobe piercing, I've gone to Studs for all my (7 other!) piercings. I went this past weekend to be pierced by an apprentice - (shout out Gerard) - to get two more lobe piercings and a helix, and it was another fabulous experience. (Highly recommend letting an apprentice be your piercer! Don't be put off by the verbiage. Mine had so much experience and placement is reviewed by the boss before a needle ever touches you!)

Studs is so clear on the process and after care and everyone from the employee who helped me pick my piercing jewelry, to my piercer Gerard, to "master piercer" Shannon who mentored him and advised on placement and my ear anatomy, was lovely and SO personable. We talked about everything from the Yankees to Jared Leto's Joker and it was such a low stress appointment. Which is great because I always get multiple piercings each visit!! Excited to come...
