The Canopy NYC — Local services in New York

I love that The Canopy provides such a critical role in our community by offering such a beautiful space specific to babies and young (4 and under) kids to play safely with other little ones around the same developmental stages.

It can be tough being in spaces that welcome all ages keeping your eyes peeled to ensure your little one isn't at risk of being run over by the bigger kids playing. It's also nice that the membership allows for a beautiful community of parents and caregivers to develop friendships too, and for only-child kids to benefit from seeing bigger kids model behaviors.

Now that The Canopy is around, it seems crazy a space like this hasn't been created sooner, there is such a dearth of spaces and services with new parents and younger kids in mind!

As two dads visiting NYC with our twins, we were on the hunt for a place where they could burn off some energy and we could enjoy a little downtime. A local recommended the Canopy NYC, and we were so glad we checked it out! This place offers a respite for traveling parents. The space is incredibly well-designed, with tons of engaging activities that kept our boys entertained for hours. We loved the sensory zones, and they had a blast climbing and exploring. Being away from home can sometimes feel isolating, but the Canopy NYC provided a much-needed sense of community. We met some friendly locals that has us inspired to come back sooner. It was a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle and a great way to experience a more local side of NYC. I am so impressed with this space. The Canopy NYC is a gem for littles (and families)! As a professional auntie, I am impressed with how thoughtfully designed and welcoming this indoor playground is.

It’s spotlessly clean (no easy task with kids playing all day), safe, and filled with fun, educational activities.

Owner/staff has thought of everything. The gender-neutral restroom, wheelchair accessibility, and LGBTQ+ inclusivity show the attention to detail and care.

This is a place where you feel welcome instantly. Oh, the free intro tour and session are a wonderful way to explore what they offer.

I noticed the variety of programming for parents (though I am an auntie, I was pretty impressed with that part, too). Highly recommend Canopy.
