I highly recommend checking out the Ume Ume schedule to see if there are any classes for your child's age group and schedule. We've been to so many different lessons here over the years, and have only but the most positive experiences to share.
My kids used to go to Miss Sotiria's enrichment lessons when they were just a few months old. I was always impressed the level of detail she puts into each class, including activities, prepared materials, and readings.
They also have a weekly drop-in art class that was educational and enriching for me as an adult. Check out "It's Art Time", you won't regret it! Each week takes inspiration from a different artist, so in addition to the standard sign-along catalog, you will learn about that artist and then make an art project that is inspired by something unique about this artist's contribution. I wonder if they have considered offering this for adults đ I loved it.
After the baby and toddler stage, I didn't want to say good-bye so I signed my kids up to continue with group music lessons. Miss Sotiria is really talented at getting her students, even very young ones, interested and engaged! My kids have pretty different personalities, and yet they are both thriving in their class.
Ume Ume is a really special school run by a brother and sister duo who pour so much love and dedication into their students and community. We are so happy it has been a part of our lives here...
Read moreWe enrolled our son in the Jump Start program this past school year. It was truly an incredible learning environment.
First and foremost, the teacher, Miss Sotiria, was absolutely amazing. Her passion for teaching and genuine care for the children shone through in every interaction. My son adored her, and it was evident that she had a positive impact on his learning journey. Her ability to engage and connect with the children was remarkable.
Another highlight of the class was Miss Sotiria's mother, Miss Christine. Both of them were such warm and caring individuals who genuinely cared about each child's well-being. Their dedication to the children's happiness and progress was evident, and it created a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Christos was also just a gem of a human. He always responded to my emails promptly, and answered my in-person questions with a smile.
I have nothing but fantastic things to say about Ume Ume. We will be re-enrolling our son for this coming fall, and I can't wait to enroll my younger daughter...
Read moreWe love Ume Ume! It is a beautifully run family business that we can't speak highly enough of.We have been taking classes at Ume for 2.5 years now - starting with the baby music classes, then the all ages music classes and now the Jump Start preschool prep program.
Sotiria (the loveliest and most talented teacher) always creates the most wonderful class atmosphere; welcoming, fun and interesting. The music classes are engaging and fun, and the weekly programming for the preschool program is thoughtful and considered with interesting themes and activities. Alongside Sotiria, Christos always greets the kiddos with a wave and a high five, jumps in to help when needed while being responsive and helpful for any questions.
Sotiria and Christos put their everything into creating the best environment and run the most incredible space for tiny folks. I've seen the same kids there week in, week out for years which is a testament to the place. Couldn't speak more highly of our experience at Ume Ume....
