Firstly, I am not one to write reviews, but today I am writing to detail the enormous health scare due to incomprehensible negligence of cross-contamination by the restaurant, and the way in which they failed to address it. In December I ate here, sharing dinner with a friend. I received a final refill of water, in which upon drinking I experienced an immediate burning sensation in my mouth, lips, and throat, and put the cup down. My friend and I smelled my water, in which my water smelled of bleach or some potent cleaning chemical. Her water, which was not refilled, did not have any smell. I asked the waitress if she had just cleaned the water pitcher, in which she replied no. We left the restaurant, and I tried to tell myself it was just a little bit of dishwash soap, despite her answer, yet I could not shake the feeling that it was more than that, especially as it smelled so strong. Then, I was awake the whole night, noticing the burning travel down my throat to stomach. The next day I was miserably sick and weak. I called the restaurant, and was met with annoyance when I asked to speak to a manager, in which the person quickly identified herself as. I politely shared my situation, and she told me she would get back to me after looking into it. Well, I never heard back from the restaurant. In the meantime, I was very ill, and followed treatment to detox and move this chemical through my body. The burning was in my mouth, throat, stomach, and even while urinating. I had no appetite, and was weak. I finally came in later in the month, and asked to speak to the owner. With me I brought all my paperwork of doctor’s note, treatment expenses/receipts for medicine and detox protocol, asking that the restaurant pay for my medical expenses. I also learned that the person who identified herself as Emmy the manager was not a manager, and never elevated my concerns to the owner. This time, Frankie, the owner said he would investigate it. After some back and forth, I have not heard back from him, and I am infuriated that they will not take accountability for this incident. My intention was not to sue or make this a legal case. I feel it completely justified that the restaurant would pay for the nearly $800 in treatment expenses following THEIR negligence. Best I can do is share my terrifying experience. I was treated as if this could not have happened, and because I don’t have the water with me as proof to test, they can easily dismiss me. Consider dining someone else, where the staff and owner are honorable, and where terrifying cross-contamination does not occur. If I drank the whole glass instead of the small gulp, I could have been...

Read moreGoing to state that it is what you'd expect for grand opening day. They're still working out the kinks but the food was delicious. It took a while for some of the dishes to come out. Super attentive staff though, came around filling up the water cup constantly.
They were really nice. Comped a Thai iced tea for the wait time. The fancy gold spoons were for desert but we ended up not using them, as they ended up being out of the mango sticky rice. The Tom yum is nice, it's a very rich broth. Thought the food might be a tad too salty but will update this review after the next visit.
UPDATE: They definitely worked out their service kinks and are operating smoothly in the kitchen. The service we got was a little inconsistent. I got the Hakka Noodles this time. The crispy pork belly made it diff but after that it isn’t too special. My kid got the panang curry with chicken because there’s no pepper symbol next to it. The server asked how spicy she wanted which was a good sign. We said not spicy but it came out with peppers and I would call “regular “ spice level. I’m surprised she ate almost all of it. It was good but they def added spicy in addition...
