First and foremost. Food is so good! I've been twice already and it has been on point. The adana wrap is my favorite. The first time I went there was a lady working. She was warm, friendly, and helpful. The second time was a huge service disappointment. It was a weekday morning (They open at 11) so I went for a stroll until they opened. I stopped by at 11:10am and the sign on the door still said closed, but I saw a guy in there, so I cracked the door and asked if they were open. From a distance he said "I don't think so" and kept browsing his phone. (I thought he was double checking or something). I literally stood there with the door cracked, waiting for him to let me know. Nothing. Didn't make eye contact, didn't acknowledge me. Then he went and started setting up his laptop on a table and making himself coffee. So I asked again. And he said they are open. I had to ask him myself if I could order something, he took my order, and went back to his phone. Then he comes with the tab slip. I reach out my hand for it and instead, he puts it on the counter right in front of my hand. I hand him my card. And AGAIN, he puts my card and the slip on the counter. I should have just left, to be honest. I felt really unwelcomed. Then he went back to his phone and kept hanging out by the back doorway to the kitchen as I waited for 30 mins. I had to ask him myself when the food would be read. And then again because didn't remember to check on it/grab it when it was time. You can see in the pics the sign still not being turned to open. The restaurant empty and the guy not in sight + my signed slip and pen still just laying there on the counter. This experience alone has deterred me from going back so far.

I really wanted to like this place since I love Turkish food, but unfortunately the food was very bland and uninteresting . I had to dig a little, to find the half glass full side of things, but I will say that the water was very attentive, and the outdoor seating on a lovely Summer night was very pleasant.. BUT the food.was a disappointing story altogether which I I did not expect given the positive reviews here . .I had the falafel warp, my friend had a chicken kabab platter and both dish were barely mediocre.- just really BLAH,, nothing Turkish tasting in the preparation and seasonings. The reheated Falafel balls did not taste Like they was freshly made, in fact they did not have much of a taste at all.. The wrap contained a few scrappy shreds of purple cabbage and lettuce, which were stuffed inside an over abundance of wrap bread.with twomushy falafel. blah balls. The chicken kabobs were generous enough in portion size, but were slathered in a tomato sauce (that BTW looked like it was poured straight out of a can) in an what appeared to be a failed attempt to rescue the dish from its blahness. Perhaps they changed chefs recently and it was much better in the past, and that would explain past positive reviews, or maybe the chef called in sick that day and they could only get an inexperienced substitute ??? hmmmm I hope its the second case scenario and that way maybe a second change is...

Wow, wow, and wow again to Tavash Turkish Meditteranean Restaurant. Your food and service are nothing short of amazing! My friend and I arrived to an empty restaurant, but a warm smile from the waitress that helped us navigate the menu and got us delicious and cool old fashions from the bar. My friend got their calamari and I got the baba ghanoush. The calamari came with this marinara type sauce that had a nice kick of spice and went so well with the calamari and the bread! The baba ghanoush did not disappoint either! It was super creamy and had tons of sesame seeds! I had to stop myself from eating all of it as we were brought a fresh platter of their sampler entree that came with beef, lamb, and chicken. Omg!! Everything was grilled and seasoned to perfection--including a pepper ok the side! The rice and salad complemented the meats so well! My friend and I dug in and I so wish I had another stomach as I did not want to stop eating! I am so glad we shared the platter because there is no way we could've had our own entrees!

As a side note yhe waitress and other staff were so helpful, funny, and kind. They really made is feel right at home!

Absolutely know that I will be back here the next time I am in BK!! A must when...
