If I seriously could I would give this place a 0 or negative stars. I had family visiting from Trinidad and wanted to get jewelry to take back home. So we found this jewelry store since the others I used to go to were closed. We all had a great shopping experience. Later on that day I found out one of the anklets I bought was too short. I tried calling to ask if they have a exchanging policy but it was either no answer or the call will disconnect. I decided to go today and as soon as I walk in the guy by the door didn't ask but was ready to give me a tray without asking if I want on. I told him there were no need for me to get a tray and I walked to the woman who helped me last time but she was busy checking out a customer. I patiently waiting and asked her if they do exchanges because the anklet i bought didn't have a chain to adjust the size (I thought i bought a damaged good) so she corrected me and told me it goes by size length unlike the other anklet I bought that let you adjust it.🥴(silly me but I didn't know) She told me it was okay. As I was going to look for my size and see if I catch my eyes on anything. The same man wanting to give me the tray decided to be pushy and look for my style and size. It was odd and i got the gut feeling he didn't want me to touch anything but I took it as he is helping me. He also decided to repeat to me what the woman explained already like I'm stupid and didn't want me to touch anything. But I didn't pay it any attention because I thought he was just helping me find my size. Once I got my size and said okay I'll take this one, and it ended in a awkward pause and he just stood next to me not moving. It was odd because my plan was to walk around or at least look at more anklets I might buy but the man was in the way. So I repeated again okay I'm going to exchange it for this one and this man with a attitude asked me if I was done having a attitude. Like what? I have a attitude? I told this man i don't have a attitude and i can show him the difference from me really having a attitude because he doesn't know me from anywhere, mind you I was chilling listening to music in one ear and excited to eat after i was done..smfh This man said they don't do exchanges as if he was doing me a favor. Taken back and caught off guard I told him the first thing I asked was about the exchange policy so what is he even talking about. This man looked at me with a disgusting look on his face like I was one of those drug addicts on 34th and told me to get the hell out of his store. Wow I was so embarrassed because I was the only black person in the store at the time and other customers was looking at us like I was really the issue. I felt racially discriminated from the time I walked in and didn't take a tray, even the first time I took my family, my cousin told me she really didn't want a tray because her mom already had one for both of them but she felt like she was forced to take it. (Red flag) It's very clear once you're black they believe you're going to steal like you never had anything in your life. DO NOT GO TO THIS RACIST JEWELRY STORE IF YOU ARE BLACK ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A BLACK WOMAN. I bet if my boyfriend was with me that door man or owner would never have...
Read moreThis is a wholesale store . You have to have a sales and use tax registration certificate in order to shop here there is a $50 minimum. They did jump right on me when I walked in asking for my license. Then when I said I have everything they need to shop here and presented my paperwork which I understood and did not mind giving it to him to verify, then he told me what kind of business is this I told him what it was and that I sold Boutique items and jewelry as well as have a hairdressing business going at the same place. He goes well you need a Jewelers something or other. I told him I never had in any other wholesale store that this identification was just fine everywhere else it has always been accepted .He then decided to let me go ahead and Shop although it was at the end of the day I did not have time enough to pick out more than $50 worth. I had to leave and told him I'd be coming into the city in a week .So I'd be back then when I had more time. We'll see how it goes then .but the brief run through I did, I liked what I was seeing. Until next time I'll let you all know. We'll we were back again the last 15 mins they were open . A different reception was had this time they were way more friendly this time and I was able to fly through and pick out at least $60 worth but had I had more time the damage would have been much more significant I'm not. Complaining it will be going back but for sure at least a couple hours before their closing time. Sorry they don't allow pictures otherwise I would have taken many of thdm and posted them just so you can see the beautiful stuff that's in here. So sorry. But they do have a Web site...
Read moreThey have a great selection of well price items, and the salespeople are super friendly and helpful. Here is where I'm split - the managing staff does not have a good focus on customer service. They are consistently rude to their buyers. I guess it's a new york boutique with a new york attitude? but the snobbish down right mean attitude makes me uncomfortable.twice in the past year i walked out of there and made an order elsewhere, even though I love the stores stock. They pounce on you the second you walk through the door asking for the card with looks on their faces like 'who ARE you, how dare you enter' (yes i have a card! I run an extremely busy boutique in brooklyn even if i'm dressed in streetwear - i like to be comfy when I shope) and they have suuuuuuch attitude. literally looking down their noses like those english butlers in the movies. almost comical. They have signs everywhere 'any items you take in your cart that you don't buy are subject to a restocking fee' you know what, I run a store. sometimes my customers end up leaving items at the counter. yes its annoying but that's part of retail, you know? maybe they feel they are exclusive and upscale enough to be picky with their customers. but its not a good business model bc if anyone opens up equal competition they will lose their customer base very quickly. basically, if you've got new york skin, this is a great place to get stock for your store. if you're a sensitive small town girl you will feel very stupid...
