I’ve never experienced anything like this before in the U.S., and I feel it’s important to share my thoughts. At the time, I tried to keep my frustration to myself and just finish my meal quickly, but I’m leaving this review because I believe things need to change. If no one says anything, I worry other guests—especially those visiting from different countries—might end up having the same unpleasant experience.

I ordered a meal that cost around $70–$80, including the tip. I stepped away briefly to wash my hands, taking all my belongings with me, so the table was completely empty. When I came back, the staff had already started grilling the meat on the table. A big part of the experience with this kind of meal is watching the process from start to finish, and I felt like that was completely taken away from me.

I tried to let it go and enjoy my meal, but the interruptions made it impossible:

First, while I was clearly eating, a staff member approached and insisted on asking if I wanted to place additional orders since the kitchen was closing soon. They seemed determined to get an answer and lingered until I responded.

Then, another staff member came by to ask the same thing again.

Finally, I was asked to pay the bill because the staff was about to change shifts.

The whole time, it felt like they were rushing me to eat, pay, and leave. For a meal that wasn’t cheap—and with an expected 20% tip—it was incredibly frustrating to deal with constant interruptions and the pressure to hurry. It honestly ruined the experience for me.

Even in Korea, where quick service is common, I’ve never seen this kind of pushy behavior. To see this happening in the U.S., where tipping is standard, feels disrespectful and completely unacceptable.

다른 건 몰라도 고기 주인 없는데 고기를 불판에 미리 올려서 굽고 있는 건 선 넘었죠? 사람 먹을 때 몇 번을 방해합니까 무료 음식도 아닌데 팁까지 강제하니...

This place is awesome!!!!! Miss Korea, a Korean barbecue restaurant located in Little Korea, New York City. I must say, the experience was absolutely delightful.

First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the show - the meats. The selection at Miss Korea was truly outstanding. From marinated beef to succulent pork belly, every bite was a burst of flavor. The quality of the meats was top-notch, and they were cooked to perfection on the tabletop grill. Each piece was tender, juicy, and simply mouthwatering. It was a true carnivore's paradise.

Apart from the delicious food, the atmosphere at Miss Korea added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. The restaurant managed to strike a balance between being fun and intimate. The vibrant decor and lively music created a lively and energetic ambiance. At the same time, the cozy seating arrangement and dim lighting provided a sense of intimacy, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends.

The service at Miss Korea was also commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were always ready to assist and explain the grilling process, ensuring that we had a seamless dining experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Miss Korea for anyone craving an amazing Korean barbecue experience in Little Korea, New York City. The meats were beyond delicious, the atmosphere was both fun and intimate, and the service was exemplary. It's definitely a place worth visiting if you're a fan of Korean cuisine or simply looking for a memorable...

Restaurant Review: Miss Korea in Korea Town, NYC

If you're craving authentic Korean BBQ in New York City, look no further than Miss Korea, a vibrant gem nestled in Korea Town. Open 24/7, this bustling restaurant promises a delightful culinary adventure at any hour.

During our visit, we opted for the combo meat with seafood, a feast that guarantees you won't leave hungry. The variety and quality of the meats (brisket was my fav along with the pork belly) and seafood (shrimp and scallops) were impressive, offering a flavorful and satisfying experience. One of the highlights is the flexibility to cook the food yourself at the table or have the attentive servers do it for you, ensuring everything is cooked to perfection.

The meal was complemented by a generous assortment of traditional Korean sides, including the ever-popular kimchi, which added a delightful array of flavors and textures to our meal. The service was not only incredibly friendly but also impressively quick, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

The atmosphere at Miss Korea is lively and fun, with disco music playing in the background, creating a unique and energetic ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience. Whether you're a night owl or an early bird, the 24/7 opening hours make it a perfect spot for a delicious meal at any time.

In conclusion, Miss Korea in Korea Town, NYC, offers a fantastic Korean BBQ experience with excellent food, swift service, and a fun atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great Korean cuisine...

😄 #NuevaYorkdistinto #ManhattandistintoANY #MidtownANY #KoreatownANY
