Read moreThis store is amazing! Located in the heart of koreatown, you can find so many unique asian items you will never get bored of this place. I'm talking about all types of pocky and kit kat green tea bars, tapioca pearls with mixes to make your own bubble tea, all kinds of cool seawood snacks, dried fish snacks, jerky, cassava chips, egg crackers, the list goes on and on. There is amazing selection of sauces, kimchi, spicy mayos, condiments, hot pot aisles, noodle isles, exotic fruit isles [dragonfruit is amazing here), all kinds of pickled veggies and fresh produce. You can also find various tofu, meats for stir fry or korean dishes like bulgogi, wagyu beef, fish filets. They also have american items too like cheese, american chips, cold cuts, breads, pastas. I love their soup bases and broths, you can go as spicy as you desire. They also have decent korean body washes and skincare products! while this store can be a bit cramped, each isle is filled with so much stuff you will have a hard timing walk out of here empty handed. I like that there is also products from Japan, Vietnam Thailand! They also have lunches prepackaged like rice bowls and sushi. If you want to make sushi, you can come here and get all the ingredients you need to roll and cut from scratch. If you want to make your own hot pot, you can make your own with whatever noodle you like [buckwheat, udon, glass, ramen, Pho] or you can explore their ready make kits. The hotpot options are endless here, I'm talking about lotus root, bean sprouts, sliced pork, egg toppings. Only thing that holds me back from giving 5 stars are the prices, while some noodle kits were just 10 dollars to serve 2 people, some other kits rang close to $20. I also saw some chips were as much as $14. Read prices carefully here, it seems like they may be charging more just because of the brand and where it is...
Read moreI go to this store often. They don’t have the best customer service but they have a wide variety of products.
Then last week, I bought 2 packs of these noodles and didn’t opened it until yesterday. One pack went moldy even before I opened it. As indicated on the package, it’s way before the expiration date. I took this picture to talk to the staff in the store without having a lot of expectation but the experience turned out to be worse than what I expected.
I showed the guy at the cashier this picture. He said that I needed to bring a receipt. I explained I bought them last week but didn’t open until yesterday, so I threw away the receipt already. He insisted that I needed the receipt. I explained that it’s the product they sell and even the price label is the same, why would I make the trip to the store to make this up if this didn’t happen. Then he asked me if I bought it at this store. Yes! That’s what I’ve been talking about the whole time! He then asked if I have the product. I said no, I threw it away yesterday already. He said I needed to bring the product. So, I should keep the moldy noodles from yesterday and bring it to the store? He responded: “did you call?” I said no, who should I call? He said you needa call before you come.
Ok, I gave up here. This conversation was so ridiculous and I don’t think he knew what he’s talking about. I didn’t come with a high expectation but this conversation is way too ridiculous. Worst...
