BELIEVE THE REVIEWS! Im so glad I did. Hard to believe over 2000 reviews and a 4.9 out of 5, so it was the winning option to try to curb my itch for some seafood. The food was absolutely delicious, every bite, even down to the end when it starts getting room temp, was ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY DEVINE! Seafood foodgasm level deliciousness. Total bliss. I could use most every good adjective in the book on this place, I ain't kidding!
My guest doesn't like seafood so they had a couple options I spied before going he would love, chicken tenders and garlic noodles, and rice and fries. He chose the noodles and rice. I chose a boil bag with a cluster each of dungeoness and snow crabs, and a lobster tail. It came with a free side, so I got his pasta for him. The flavoring was perfect, I found myself pulling out meat and dipping it in the bottom of the bag to soak up even more of that flavor. The lobster, um, dreamy, fresh, perfectly prepared, good size tail. The crab wasn't skimpy either, and every bite, first to last, like I said, just made me so delighted I couldn't hold back the "Oh my God" s and "Mmmmmmm"s. I probably looked like a starved woman devouring all that yumminess digging as much meat from every corner I could. The taters and corn were included and just as tasty. I started with a half dozen oysters.... oh man oh man oh man.... did I say, OH MAN! By far the best oysters I have had, and I am not some wild traveller but I have dined at many bays and fishing meccas and top notch seafood establishments.... but I can't remember more pure, fresh, desirable oysters in all my (many) years. I missed one and when the server was gonna take the plate I quickly had finished, she saw it and let me know and I was happy I had one more tongue thrilling treat.
Menus and market prices were prominently displayed in large classy boards (no whiteboards or paste up jobs) throughout the dining room, and pointed out by the hostess when being seated. A pitcher and water glasses were brought out promptly. It did take a while for our server to arrive, and a table seated a few minutes after us had drinks before our server asked what we wanted. But everything else was just too perfect to deduct any stars for this, and that's often one of my easiest things I feel like take away a fifth star. But it was just too good from there out. The table was kept up, drinks were checked as was satisfaction after receiving our food, and then of course how I mentioned the server rescued one oyster I overlooked. Tables were cleaned very quickly, teamwork was wonderful. The bathrooms were either women's or multi gender, one person at a time bathrooms. They were clean and properly stocked. And this is the first time in my life I saw a place with a mouthwash dispenser and I hit that for sure.
I can't find really anything negative aside from the slow drink order. Everyone was friendly and hospitable and did a great job. I highly recommend this if you're anywhere near there or maybe visiting the Empire State Building...

We came on a Tuesday and started with the $1.50 Blue Point Oysters special, a total steal! They were fresh, clean and a perfect starter.
The real star of the show was the $20 Lobster roll and soda lunch deal. I don’t think you can find a better-priced lobster roll anywhere in NYC. The bun was perfectly toasted, and it was stuffed with generous, fresh chunks of lobster. It was unanimously our family's favorite.
We ordered the 4 lb seafood boil which was huge feast for my family of three. It came with dungeness crab, snow crab legs, clams, mussels, shrimp, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. Because of their grand opening special, we even got a FREE lobster and unlimited garlic noodles. I loved that the boil came with three sauces on the side (Cajun, garlic butter, and Capt Loui special), so we could try each one instead of being stuck with just one flavor.
For sides, we got the sweet potato fries which arrived piping hot and sinfully crispy.
The attention to detail at Capt Loui is what truly sets it apart. The space is clean, modern, and spacious. Three handwashing stations are equipped with lemon wedges to rid of seafood smell on your fingers.
On the same counter, you’ll find lotion, stain remover wipes, dental floss, hair ties which are very thoughtful touches….proof that they’ve really considered every aspect of the dining experience. Even the restrooms are impeccably clean and include mouthwash stations. It’s very clear that management has gone above and beyond to ensure a comfortable, polished and enjoyable visit.
We ended our meal with dessert—vanilla ice cream with chocolate drizzle, plus beignets and my favorite funnel cake.
Service was excellent throughout. Our waitstaff was attentive and cleared plates promptly.

Read moreI got here right before 3 for their lobster roll lunch special. I had been looking forward to it ever since I saw the promotion on IG. It also came with a free drink (went with brisk iced tea). I think they make everything fresh since the food doesn't come out right away which I was more than willing to wait for.
The theming of this place looked really nice. It reminded me a lot of how the restaurants at Disney/Universal would decorate their restaurants with theme music playing in the background. If you mention that it's your birthday, they'll ring a bell for you and blast the happy birthday song.
The lobster roll came out warm with plenty of lobster on top. It was a really great deal for Manhattan lunch prices. After staring at the seafood menu while eating the lobster roll, I was convinced to add on an order of snow crab leg clusters. It comes with 1 piece of corn and 1 potato. I got the Capt Loui sauce and mild spice which was still pretty spicy but not a numbing spice. The sauce had a very strong garlic flavor and was super savory as well. The perfect complement for the fresh seafood. Shuckaneer tool and shell crushers were also provided but I wish they gave scissors as well.
The snow crab legs were so good I'm already dreaming of going back soon. I could tell the meat was fresh because it did not stick to the shell when I cracked the legs. The crab meat was so soft and cooked right like can I say I tasted the sea? I hope this place stays around for a long time!
In case you didn't come prepared to get messy for a Cajun seafood boil, in the back by the restrooms they have hair ties, phone bags, stain remover pads, lemon wedges etc. At the table there were wet napkins, gloves and a bib. Bathrooms were immaculately clean which is always a plus.
With the check, the server also gave a chocolate mint which was such a sweet gesture and the end to a really delicious meal.
They have a promotion right now where if you write a review on Google and follow their IG you can get a free dessert (2 beignets or funnel...
