US Social Security Administration — Local services in New York

Anyone knows is this place is open for " emergency dire need only" for a physical appointment? Been going crazy trying to find one to get my replacement ss card, --- the one thing needed for proof in order to get my unemployment claim approved, I sent them a pic of the front of card(which I had in my computer),but unfortunately they want a pic of the back too (don't have it).. it's been 3 months trying to get it and I can't open a mysocialsecurity account because I have a photo medicaid card.. and they want a state drivers or non drivers ID.. Been running around trying to get all documents for them, one left.. the social security card.. only way to get it is by physical appointment. This pretty much is a dire need situation, no job, no money, and my unemployment is held cuz of ss card.. barely...

Arrived at 8:50am to a line the security guard was nice and let us wait inside the building due to it being 30 degrees. Then a man comes inside claiming to be the building manager gets angry saying we’re not supposed to be inside the building at the time not until 9:05am . A lady explained we only came in because of the security allowed us to the man was very upset told us all to get out and relocked the door. He was speaking with us very angrily and in an aggressive tone which made everyone uncomfortable . This office you CAN NOT get A NEW social security card you have to go to 154 pierrepont street location !! They don’t clearly state that on the website...

I originally went to 1540 fulton for a replacement card to my surprise they are closed for renovations they’re sign stated to go to 785 flushing instead so I walked 20 blocks to get there and ask the rude security guard if I’m in the right place he asked me what am. I here for I stated a social security card he say a replacement I’m like yes he says we don’t do those so I’m already frustrated from all this running around so I ask him where do I need to go he points at the wall and says go read the sign that’s what it’s there for.
