I donāt know whatās going on with this place, but literally the worst barbershop Iāve ever visited. I went there twice, to different specialists bc I thought first time was not representative. My problems were: Specialists almost did not talk to me, did not answer questions or reacted to what I was saying. Sometimes when I was explaining something, they just randomly started talking to someone else. For a while I thought they didnāt speak English. Absolutely no opinions or advices. Iām not a professional barber, I donāt know what would look great or bad. Thatās why I ask the specialists. The only answer I hear (in the times when they didnāt ignore my questions) was āI donāt know, tell me what you wantā. They only do what you tell them to do, no more. If you ask a barber to shave your neck - they will. If you donāt - they wonāt (or at least this is my impression bc nobody talks to me). The quality of work is relatively poor. My beard after shaping up still looks messy in some places. In addition to that, all my clothes are covered in hair leftovers - bc nobody really bothered to clean my neck or hair properly after the haircut. I swear I saw disgust on barberās face after I explained what I want.
Can you believe that barbershops in the 3rd world countries (Belarus where Iām from) are better than this one? I donāt know whatās their problem, maybe they just donāt like me personally for who knows what reason, but my experience was terrible and Iād never recommend anyone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am someone who is very particular about my hair, and very loyal when I find a good barber. Moving to the city from across the country, this was one of my stressors. I have to say itās been incredible.
Alex has been my barber twice now. Though a little hesitant when I initially told him how low to start the fade (everyone always asks āare you sureā when I tell them step start at a 0), but he fantastic. So meticulous with the cut, so careful with the blade clean ups, best beard trim Iāve ever had. I have never had such a fantastic experience. It is worth every penny and I look forward to my haircuts. I am even saving up for one of the more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to use a gift certificate from York Barber Shop, with a business card attached to it. I thought it was odd that there was no value or expiration date included, but I called and provided them with the certificate number and a picture. They rudely refused to accept it and blamed me for their staff selling a blank certificate. As a matter of good business they should have at least offered a haircut. It would have been a small gesture that would have gone a long way. Instead they were rude and refused to accept any responsibility. So much for trying to support...
