I had initially noticed the atmosphere of the salon, it was clean, well maintained. The few ingredients provided in the sugar wax was the only reason I truly needed to book my appointment. I had been recommended to the salon by Seneca and was sugar waxed Teleaha. The staff seemed delighted to provide me with their sugar waxing expertise. I had never been waxed, or sugar waxed before so I was quite nervous. I had said that it was my first time receiving anything done to my legs, Brazilian area, Teleaha had no problem explaining the prep steps, how the sugar wax feels etc… I was delighted with my results, it was not as painful as I was expecting but the very very minimal pain was quickly reduced with the after care with witch hazel and other organic products. Very pleasantly surprised that I didn’t receive any problems after, I had worn jeans that day and was worried it wouldn’t been a problem given my extremely sensitive skin, the products used were not harmful for me in any way. I have Irish genetics which for me, I am prone to irritated skin problems & many products, there were absolutely no problem spots as well as no irritation anywhere. Given my positive experience, I know I would enjoy a sugar wax on a routine basis, I felt more confident and very pleased with the soft outcome. It was very uplifting, positive experience. I have small anxious habits and Teleaha took care of me and allowed for me to do some deep breaths beforehand. Deep breaths were not needed after the initial first wax peel so if you are worried about your own cognitive process on anxious buildup, these ladies are more than willing to assist you in assuring that it really is not as painful as you would think. Knowing that the ingredients are minimal, I don’t think I would even think about getting anything but sugar wax. I was amazed by the few ingredients in it. Thank you ladies for making my experience positive as well as providing me with the confidence I loved the way everything had been done :)) I would highly recommend the Upper East Side Sugar & bronzes salon to anyone that is open to receiving a sugar wax experience. I felt as though the price was very reasonable (after tip) given that these ladies are extremely precise and motivated to get the job completely done. You definitely have a consistent customer shout out to Seneca as reference and Teleaha for providing me with her time and precision...

I love all of the S+B locations in the city and had a particularly good experience here! I’d only ever tried the tans, but did try sugaring during my most recent visit before a trip to Miami. The tan looked amazing as usual, but my only complaint is that I ended up getting some funky tan lines that stuck to a little bit of the leftover sugar, but I would just be more careful (on my end!) next time to make sure it was all gone before doing the tan. Everyone who works here couldn’t have been nicer - and everyone is so professional and efficient. No awkwardness and you’re in and out so quickly! I mentioned the tan lines after and they were so so nice about it - I didn’t even mention it until I filled out one of their email surveys, and was so surprised when they got back to me right away. Personally feel like the amazing customer service makes it worth going here every time - wouldn’t try...

Okay so I’m definitely one of those girls who doesn’t care to write reviews - but this one!!!! I had to. I’ve been sugaring at other places for about 2 years and when I tell you Sugared and Bronzed is the BEST - and no one told me to write this!!!! Like what - I’m shocked, Destiny at the upper East location is amazing! I didn’t even realize she was sugaring me because she was so gentle and friendly. I’m a big baby when it comes to pain and when I tell you I’m so impressed. The sugaring was in all the parts that at other places hurt so bad but this one was seamless and fast! She communicated everything she was doing and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable! I’m even happy it didn’t work out at the other places because this place is heaven sent!
