If I could give this Target store no stars, I would NOT have hesitated. I’m not sure where to begin but this store is the worst, and I mean the worst Target store that I have ever been in. Customer service does not exist here so if you thrive in stress filled hostile environments this store will bring you the shopping experience of your dreams. On 2/25 I entered the store knowing the struggle. I however, could have never expected for the customer to get worse than previous experiences. I eagerly headed to electronics hoping to purchase an iPhone that is in their weekly circular and includes a gift card for 150.00 upon purchase. I encountered an employee by the name of Erik who was multitasking between myself and another customer. Things took a turn for the worst when I began to ring up . This employee literally stated that he could only ring me up but could not activate the purchased phone. I inquired as he was also activating a phone with the other customer and the additional offer with the phone required activation upon purchase. Erik stated that he was going home and that there would not be anyone sufficient to assist me. He stated that he could activate the other customers phone but was leaving after that. I was appalled but I asked him to try to contact someone who would be able to finish my transaction. He obliged and returned saying no one in the store could further assist with activation but him. He asked me to come back another day. Further appalled I stated to this employee that I had to complete my purchase today. He began to assist the other customer again and left me standing at another register confused! I saw a manager and explained my issue. This manager called another manager by the name Bethany. Bethany approaches me very uneager to remedy the problem and states the store no longer does activation despite the fact the employee stated that it is done but he was going home. This manager argued me down pointing at consumer wireless phones saying that the store only activates those devices. She then walked off. She did nothing in regard to the horrible customer service nor did she offer to help further than giving me incorrect information. As I stood at the register completely ignored by Erik I observed him assist a customer behind me who he advised to go self check out. Another lady who appeared from nowhere yet he couldn’t assist me because he was going home. SPEECHLESS! I was ultimately relieved when I saw a manager by the name of Charlie who’s service before self is outstanding. Although I couldn’t make my purchase he tried his best to help me. I returned on 2/26 to finalize my purchase. Immediately entering the store I asked for a supervisor to go with me to electronics as the prior day’s experience was nothing less than horrifying. Sean, the supervisor too was amazing and he found an employee to assist me and left once I was assumed to be taken care of. I sat for over 3 hours while this employee took care of everything pertaining to my purchase only for the employee to tell me that they were sorry they missed a step and that I couldn’t receive the advertised gift card. They then stated they weren’t extensively trained in phone activations and that if I returned the next Saturday, they would be able to assist me. The nightmare doesn’t end here but I will end it here!
This is the worst set of people in one location that I have ever seen.. please do not bother with corporate who will take your complaint and never follow up. Target has lost a customer. The experiences are too sickening for anyone who works for their money to spend it in any of...
Read moreI went around 6 or 7 pm on a Friday specifically to get jeans and bras. All of the dressing rooms were closed! Ladies, can you imagine trying to buy jeans and bras without the ability to try them on??? It's impossible, and I wasn't about to buy like 30 options to pay for, take home, try on, and bring back, especially since I work the other 6 days of the week and rely on the bus to get to and from the store. I asked one employee why the dressing rooms were closed and she had no idea. I found another one who said if they don't have enough staff for the closing shift they don't have someone who can man the dressing rooms so they get closed around 6pm. The store is open until 10! I work in food service and empathize with low staffing, but this needs to be remedied. It's incredibly inconvenient. I ended up attempting to try on like 15 bras in the 80 degree bathroom at 9pm. I had to give up eventually, so although I dwindled my selection down I did have to buy a lot more than I would have had there been a dressing room available, and I will need to go back to return items. All because of low staffing, which it sounds like happens often. For all the thousands of people looking for work, apply at this Target!!!
Also, self check-out was the only option after 9 pm and I had like 25 items of clothing and questions about some sale items. The guy working in self-checkout kindly asked an employee if he'd open his register for me which he did. Again, working in food service myself, I no longer expect employees to always be chipper and ultra friendly, but this guy looked like everyone he remotely cares about that he's ever met in his life died that day. I can't think of any employee anywhere any time recently who has seemed less like they want to be somewhere and interacting with other humans than this guy. It's hard to give people the benefit of the doubt when they're THIS bad.
All in all a very frustrating...
Read moreAn employee at Target in the Electronics area on 8/3/19 made us feel uncomfortable. It was ~11:40 p.m. and the store closes at midnight. That employee told us that the store was closing soon. Ok fine.
We picked up a copy of a game and my friend needed to use the bathroom so he was in the bathroom upstairs near the electronics section. The time was then around 11:50 p.m. and I was waiting for him outside. A security guard walked by and told me the store is closing in 10 minutes. I explained that I'm waiting for a friend who is in the bathroom and he was cool with that.
However, the employee in the Electronics section walked by around 11:52 p.m. and said something along the lines of "The store is closing and you need to go downstairs because you're just standing there". Um yeah, I am waiting for a friend. So I didn't want to make a scene out of anything and went downstairs with the game in my hand. I texted my friend to let him know that I had to go downstairs, because the guy told me I had to go down.
The time was then 11:55 p.m. and my friend got out of the bathroom and came downstairs and told me the same guy told him the same thing right when he got out of the bathroom, but didn't say anything to the lady that was still shopping. So it seems as if he was targeting us because we seemed easy to "pick on" and he probably knew we wouldn't make a scene out of it.
We paid and got out before midnight. He treated us as if we were loitering. This is the first time that this has ever happened to us at a Target. At other Target places, even if the store is about to close, they will remind us on the speaker but they're not there waiting for us 10 minutes before closing.
As a paying customer and a business owner, I don't think it is right for an employee to tell us what to do when we know the closing time is midnight and know we will be in and out by...
