I was very busy working on the house and had ordered nothing but RASA chicken tikka bowls, #1 on their menu for a least a week straight and I ate nothing else. Because that is all that I was eating and my doctor proved it was one of the most toxic forms of e. Coli that can kill people. It was definitely the pathogen type of e Coli caused by leaving food out for too long. I was so sick that I realized I have never had food poisoning before, this was the most horrible experience of being sick that I have ever experienced. It lasted more than 9 days. My doctor, John R. Melnick MD, at 911 Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg even proved it. He knew for certain after tests that it was one of the most toxic pathogens that exists, I'm a scientist but if you are not familiar, there are many types of E. Coli, from the kind always in your flora in your stomach to the kind that will kill you. Real food poisoning like this is absolutely horrible. I was doubled over in bed for 9 days! And to make it even worse, I could not sleep at all for 9 days. I was going #2 multiple times a night when I usually sleep through. You get very very sick and can not sleep at all because your body is in a constant dump mode, trying it's best to get rid of it. I had no nausea at all because our bodies do not try to get rid of the toxin that way due to the fact that it takes more time for the E. Coli to grow than any other typical toxin, like alcohol, where your body knows right away, and it wants to vomit it out to protect you. Next I am filing a complaint to the Montgomery County Health and Licensing Board. I have been too sick for about two weeks to even go out. So I have to drive all the way down to Reedie Drive in Wheaton Maryland to tell them in person. You can not call them anymore and their online forms are not good enough. I am 68 but in great shape. To give you an idea, I run/walk 3 miles every other day and also am at the gym working out on alternating days. I get sick only once every 4 years historically. I'm "dead" serious, if I was in bad health this food would have killed me. I felt like I was going to die at times during this and I have never experienced anything like that before. An ambulance came to my house and checked me out and they concluded the same thing. I didn't go to the hospital because the EMT's told me the wait was at least 24 hours at Shady Grove Hospital. Not to get off topic but they also told me that there are 60 times more people at the emergency room than before we became a sanctuary city. I asked them to take me to Sibley Hospital but they would not. THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF. IT WAS SO BAD IT LED TO VERTIGO AND OTHER COMPLICATIONS. Doctor John Melnick took care of me...
Read moreI visited Rasa yesterday and ordered the same vegetable bowl I had previously, which includes quinoa, romaine lettuce, chickpeas, corn, cucumber, cauliflower/potato and Greek dressing. However, I was charged $18.75 instead of the expected $12.75. A staff member informed me that the additional charges were due to the items I selected, which I found perplexing since I believed I was ordering a standard veggie bowl. I presented my previous receipt as evidence, but the staff member seemed at a loss for words and insisted that we were not permitted to add anything extra to the bowl. I clarified that I had not requested any extras, yet she maintained that items like lettuce, chickpeas, cauliflower, and potatoes incurred additional costs. Furthermore, there was a complication regarding a coupon I had for a complimentary second bowl. The staff insisted that I pay the full price, which totaled nearly $35. The customer service experience was disappointing; I felt targeted and treated in a dehumanizing manner. I observed staff members whispering among themselves and ignoring my order, as well as those of others who appeared similar to me. I overheard derogatory comments made in Spanish, expressing disdain towards Black individuals and suggesting they should return to Africa. Unbeknownst to them, I am fluent in Spanish, as it is my first language. It is imperative that your establishment reevaluates its staffing practices to promote diversity and educate employees on the importance of treating all customers with respect, regardless of their background. It is particularly troubling that I was charged more than two Caucasian customers who ordered the same meal, paying only $11.50 each. This experience is unacceptable, and I am unlikely to return...
Read moreI typically do not write negative reviews unless something really goes down the drain. I picked a bowl on 10.31.2023 sometime between 5-7P. It was turmeric rice, chicken, tamarind chili sauce and I guess little bit of raitha. Within an hour, I fell ill. I had excruciating stomach ace. It has never happened to me ever before for someone who has good gut health. In fact even after 24 hours, I still have a very unpleasant tummy accompanied by diarrhea. There was something which certainly went bad in the above dish. I do not know if this outlet is maintaining and checking on their health safety standards. I would urge them to keep everything temperature controlled and stop experimenting on people's health. I also want the local health authorities to take note of this outlet. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
Update: 11/2/2023
I gave enough details in the above post in regards to the timing of this incident and the after effects of food poisoning. So there is nothing you can do about it in terms of making me feel good or better. Unfortunately none of what you said in terms of compliance when it comes to food safety is in place. If the food safety standards were in place then an incident like this would not have happened ever after multiple people reported their personal experiences in the reviews given prior to my review. Please filter reviews by number of stars and to the most part you will see people complaining about how awful they felt after eating the food. If you really wanted to correct any of this, y'all would have done it long time back. It proves time and again, that you are worried more about your revenue and very very less about...
