Ferdousi: Self Checkout assistant. Instead of offering help or any form of assistance even ONE time while both myself and my boyfriend, a black couple visibly struggled and genuinely forgot to ring a less than 5$ hot bar item after I paid over 70$ and he paid over 100$ for our groceries. She stood next to us, stared at us, and then essentially accused us of attempting to steal a case of water which was on the reciept, and then the hot bar item which we then refused to buy because she was attempting to embarrass us for no reason. He is a kind and forgiving soul. I am not. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for discrimination.
The job is to provide service and to assist. I am fully disabled, have POTS, Epilepsy, and severe adhd and potential brain damage. It does not matter what we LOOK like too you. You job is to HELP us. If we just spent 170$+ at your store, do the math... logically does it make sense to steal less than 10$ worth of your product?
When she was proven wrong she offered no apology, she doubled down, changed the subject and then offered to ring the hotbar item FOR us, as though we intentionally forgot the item.
If you see we forgot something, wouldn't it be your job to help us ring it before we paid? Weren't you standing there staring at US the entire time? The answer is yes you were. Get so for real. Never coming back. Posting this to every account I have. Filing a complaint to every channel available to me until either the issue is resolved or I no longer feel disrespected as a...
Read moreGood Afternoon I Visited Your Store On Monday September 15th. My Overall Experience Upon Entering The Store Was Pretty Good The Store Was Neat & Clean. I Was Impressed With The Various Selections That I've Never Seen @ Other Giant Locations. I Went To The Self Checkout Line & Proceeded To Scan My Items, I Noticed 1 Of The Cashiers Looking Over To See If I Was Going To Pay For The Bags Which I Was I Mean They're What .5 Or .10. I Am a Brown Skinned Female & I Felt a Bit Disrespected I Don't Know If You Instruct Your Employees To Be More Watchful Of The Brown Skinned Customers Or Not But If That's What's Going On That Isn't Fair. I Read a Comment From a Young Lady That Had a Similar Experience I Believe Her Name Is Kia S. Only Difference Is She Was Actually Accused Of Trying To Steal a Case Of Water That Was Clearly On Her Receipt & It's Sad That She Didn't Receive An Apology Or Offered a Solution For The Situation. I Also Noticed That She Didn't Get a Response Back For The Review She Gave But Everyone Else That Gave a Review Got a Response Back. Everyone DESERVES To Be TREATED With RESPECT & DIGNITY Regardless Of Race, Skin Color Etc.I Would've Given More Stars But Because Of The Isolated Incident I Could Only...
Read moreI've been coming to this Giant off and on since we first arrived in this area many years ago. Here are a few things that stand out in my mind. First, this is probably the largest Giant floor plan I've ever seen. So the selection is really good. There are all kinds of things that one wouldn't find in a smaller store, naturally. There's plenty of convenient parking all around the store, although it's not weather protected if that's an issue when you are shopping. The design of the store is a bit dated, but functional. You won't feel like you are in a trendy location, being rather utilitarian. As of this writing in mid-2023, a Wegmans will be opening in the next couple of years up the Pike from here. Also, not far away there are competing options from Safeway, Whole Foods and Fresh Market. But as it now stands, this is the largest store in the area. The staff is about what you'd expect in the sense of not being quite as top notch as in other stores, but they'll get the job done. For those unfamiliar with this community, there is a huge degree of diversity which means plenty of other specialty grocery store options as well ranging from Polish to Asian, just to name a few. This one is your general grocery...
