GameStop — Local services in Norwalk

GameStop used to have a meaning. It was a place for gamers to feel welcome and accepted and be surrounded by awesome people. Now the company is funkos and toys and random things no one wants to buy. Mind you this is not the stores fault but the company as a whole. It should have gone bankrupt let’s be honest. The public saved it through a brilliant scheme. Now I am ranting.

Anyway this store is at fault though of being unwelcoming. The older woman who works there with the big mole is so rude for no reason. Her name is Andrea. She seemed annoyed that I was there. There was no one else there I thought the store was abandoned when I was there. And I was just waiting for someone and waited a good 10 minutes before she came to help. I dont really mind the waiting but when she came out she said “what do you want?” And proceeded to just zoom past me. She was rude and impatient and was not helpful at all. GameStop is a dying company and this store is a testament to that.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Went in to buy a racing wheel controller for my playstation 4 and it was like the workers did not even listen. They kept attempting to sell me one for xbox, when they are not even compatible in any way. Then while we were asking if they had one for playstation the employee just walked away and started helping another customer like we were not even there. We waited around and the other customer said to the employee "they were here first you should help them" to which the employee responded "there is someone else here that can help them" no response from either employee on if they had what I wanted in stock or not so I decided to walk out and go to walmart. Much better service at other gamestop's this one should be closed...

I just had the most curious experience here. I went in there to look for something specific. I told the employee I was just browsing meanwhile we got an Idea of what we wanted.

When we finally narrowed down and asked for help he answered "If it's not in the shelves we don't have it." He didn't look, he didn't search in the system, nothing.

We found a pass for it, and I was just about to purchase it. I asked if I was purchasing a License or I was purchasing the game as the card did not specify. The way he answered was very dismissive to the point I just didn't feel like he fully heard my question.

I don't know what's going on with his personal life, or what's goin on in the store. But the whole vibe, we decided to just walk away and purchase our stuff...
