Update: I spoke with the owner who was an absolute sweetheart and apologized about the behavior of the server and invited me to come eat at their new Fiesta Express location! The food was absolutely phenomenal and I couldn't have been more impressed with how nice everyone was. This is a family business that truly take pride in their food. I can't wait until you guys get your quinoa dishes in! Thank you all so much and I'll be coming in soon!!
and I wasn't going to leave a review originally because I wanted to call the restaurant and let them know my complaints but I just called and asked to speak with a manager and their hostess told me they didn't have a manager in today. I had asked them how could they not have a manager in the restaurant during the evening and the lady told me to hold on and I guess she didn't realize I spoke spanish as well and could hear her complaining about me asking to speak with a manager when she put the phone down. I have come into this restaurant a couple of times with friends, family, and have ordered for pick up. The service is never anything amazing and the staff could careless but the cooks really do make amazing dishes and they are the only reason there are even stars on this review. I went in for lunch yesterday with my boyfriend so we could get a quick bite he doesn't care for peruvian but he knew I was craving tallarin verde so we went. I'm a vegetarian, but I'm also Peruvian so I always order the tallarin verde alone and eat the aji sauce. When the server came back with our orders- they were both wrong and there was also a giant slab of steak on top of my green spaghetti. I was trying to be polite to the busboy (it wasn't his fault) but when the blonde server came back and I tried to tell her that I never asked for steak she claimed that I did! I've eaten here countless times and have ordered food for pick up and not once have I asked for any kind of meat. We were in a rush and I regret not having them take the dish back so my boyfriend took the meat off of my spaghetti for me and I tried really hard to bite my tongue with the careless server. She never even offered to take either of our orders back that we messed up. Later that night I got really sick because of the meat contamination. I've been a server before- you don't argue with a customer on what they ordered, you also apologize and take back their order and get them what they are PAYING for. We ended up tipping her despite all of this over 20% but she didn't seem happy with that at all. Read moreI had a terrible experience when placing an order for pick up recently. I ordered Saltado de Camarones Instead I received another dish which wasn’t what I ordered. I went back to the restaurant right after I noticed it and brought the uneaten food back and politely mentioned this wasn’t the order I placed and if I could receive saltado de camarones. They brought the bag of food towards the back (I thought they were going to replace my order) and instead gave the same food I returned but replaced my bag. I went back again and told them kindly that I would like to have Saltado de camarones as this isn’t the order that I paid 24$ for ( I left a 3$ dollar tip which totaled 27$). The gentlemen went to the back again and this time told me my order would be ready soon. I patiently waited and thanked him, As I was heading out he stopped me and told me I had to pay for the meal which was another 21$ after tax. Which I paid for but unfortunately I will never go back to this place again.
I would expect if I was dining at the restaurant and I placed an order and the food served to me wasn’t what I ordered that I wouldn’t have to pay for another meal!

When I went to place my food in a paper bag in my car it ripped open because there sauce wasn’t properly secured. I been a customer for over 8 years mind you when I call and speak and speak to the manager she said she didn’t care because it was a a take out order and offered Measly five dollar discount what a smack in the face . This Norwalk location Doesn’t follow the same process like the Stanford location Location actually wraps up everything really secure in a plastic bag to prevent spillage.
