Stop & Shop — Local services in Norwalk

Stop & Shop response: Next shopping trip I will record the entire trip and post on my social media to show you that your stores are NOT compliant! Dear Stop and Shop: I have not seen any due diligence in your maintaining a safe environment for customers as of yet. Customers still walk around with non complaint coverings which do not prevent the spread of covid, wear masks incorrectly if at all. Your employees are exactly the same, wearing unapproved coverings and again, if worn most arent properly covering both nose and mouth.

It is YOUR job to ensure the safety of all shoppers at YOUR stores. This includes the parking lot, this includes the overhead reminders that even your employees ignore. One way aisles are great but not if your staff dont comply, nor kindly remind those daily offenders that in order to keep ALL shoppers safe, please abide by the BIG RED ARROWS on the floors, its quite simple to do if your staff would step it up and not violate your OWN guidelines!

Seriously, I think I am one of the only people that actually follow these simple guidelines. If I need an item in an aisle thats the wrong way from where I am - just walk up the correct directional one and go around! Get your act together !

UPDATE Although this is still my favorite S&S, I will have to say that absolutely NONE of the local Stop and Shops in Norwalk/Darien/Stamford enforce proper mask wearing of staff and customers, if worn more often than not they are worn incorrectly AND the customers do not follow the arrows for one way aisles and NEITHER DO THE EMPLOYEES ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER OF THIS STORE Watched him rush the wrong way down an aisle to show a customer where the item was they were looking for which was great - but why post one way for people to abide by and yet you don't enforce or follow them yourselves?

AND FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE - WEAR A MASK PROPERLY AND ENFORCE IT WITH YOUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS - GATORS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE WHICH IN THE IMAGE SHOWS THE SAME EMPLOYEE WEARING EACH AND EVERY TIME IN THE PRODUCE DEPARTMENT! (Employee in the middle long hair - never ever wears a correct mask nor puts in over his mouth or nose!)

On Friday, August 24, I went like every week to the Stop and Shop store located at 385 Connecticut Ave, Norwalk, CT. I have been a customer of this store for several years. When I went to pay to the self service a white employee named Marie, began to harass me in an incredibly rude way, first she did not take her eyes off me, then invaded my space to see what I was doing, even looking over my shoulder , I asked her to step aside and ask her why she did not do the same with the other clients that were around, all white. She became very rude and continued harassing me the whole time I was there. I Talked to the manager Luis Dejesus, who did not take into consideration my complaints about the racist and discriminatory behavior of this employee. This employee with the protection of the administration of this store allow and encourage racial profiling against minorities, this was by no means an employee doing her job, was a white racist harassing a member of minorities for no reason. This person with her behavior was accusing a decent person of possible theft, by the fact of being of another race. I Called to Customer Service the very day of the incident by demanding an apology for this unpleasant incident, but they never called me back On August 29, I called again and the representative (Donna) told me that they had Dismiss the case, but promised that the regional manager would call me, something that did not happen either. We the members of minorities have an obligation to report these cases of discrimination and abuse, because although these cases have increased by the political environment in our country; we must remember that there are still laws against discrimination and that we are also decent citizens of this country and that we deserve to be treated...

There is a man with a white coat in the deli This man makes me and my mother Uncomfortable every single time me or my mother is looking in the veggie department where the flower Boutique is the man is always staring at me and my mother one particular time we went to the bathroom and you catch him staring at you from the corner of your eye it's really uncomfortable Stop and Shop you should have a talk with him mom are pretty sure we're not the only victims this has happened to On other occasions My father has went to the store and the man has been caught looking at my father he looks at you like he knows you and he keeps staring me personally as a minor I don't feel safe walking into the store or even gone by the deli department he's like he's a robot or something he follows you more than Marty he stares at you for long periods of time me and my mom we're going to test if he was going to stare at us and he did we were by the vegetables and we catch him staring at us you guys should take some action because you guys should not just be hiring anyone this man could be someone dangerous it's not good customer service you can't make customers feel uncomfortable just any woman or any man that has a minor or a child be on the lookout because this is not making a good reputation for the store this man will look at children I've seen it before even as a minor we have to be very Vigilant with our children there is a lot of traffic going on now and we don't know who this man could be behind closed doors so this is just a public service...
