I really wish my kids had just gone to the Silver Star Diner just a block away. They would’ve completely avoided wasting money on a bland meal with a side of DISCRIMINATION and being treated and spoken to as if they were 2nd class citizens or a CRIMINAL and not PAYING CUSTOMERS. My oldest kid just told me of their terrible experience when they decided to treat their little sister to a day at the aquarium & a meal at this diner. For fun, my oldest allowed her little sister to wear some of her eyeliner. I guess that was a mistake bc apparently a rude waitress tried to REFUSE allowing my 12 year old daughter to order from the kids menu (specified for kids 12 & under) bc she didn’t LOOK 12. When my daughter asked for her order the waitress responded with “No.” At first, they thought it was a joke, but after a bit of back and forth this waitress ACTUALLY refused to take the order from the kids menu stating she’d have to order from the adult menu. My oldest daughter not wanting to make anymore of a scene and highly embarrassed (as she claims other waiters were now staring at them and proceeded to do so while giggling amongst themselves throughout the rest of their meal) just asked for the order from the adult menu. The waitress at some point even asked to see their ID’s to which my daughter responded, “She doesn’t HAVE an ID, she’s TWELVE.” After some discussion with the manager is when waitress came back to the table to tell my oldest that they’d put in the order as the kid menu item “this time but next time she orders from the adult menu” and proceeded to charge for a drink that was supposed to be included with their meal. First of all, WHAT MAKES THIS WAITRESS OR THEIR MANAGER THINK THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME?! To top it off, they claimed the food...
Read moreMy friends and I decided to go to this diner when we saw the review being so high and being excited we went with grace. From the start I knew I would have a horrible experience when they didn’t even welcome us in. I have no idea if it’s a racial aspect but only one of us were white. The proportions were outrageous when it came to the price. i ordered a bacon egg & cheese with friends (17$). I kid you not they gave me 7 fries, yes i counted it. when i asked for my fries they told mw they’d have to charge me extra. My friend who is a vegetarian asked to add cheese and more toppings on his burger. everything was extra money even the cheese depending the type of cheese. who puts a plan burger with bread on a menu? I feel like the rating doesn’t make sense much. The waiter was a heft looking guy with very tight black jeans. he gave us the worst attitude & almost all the waiters kept staring at us, almost like they were bothered by our presence. once we we’re done eating , they told us the checks can’t be split (very last minute). I’d never go again unless i...
Read moreI have to say I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of quality this diner offered. I usually enjoy my time at diners but post road definitely let me down. I ordered a turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwich with french fries on the side. The sausage was barely cooked, and I received a handful of fries, you would think I ordered from a kids meal. I’m usually very understanding and patient when dining at any restaurant because I do work in food service. It was also late so can understand if the waiters were tired, but that’s also not my fault. I wanted my first time at this diner to match the reviews and it didn’t. The waiter was very rude and made it seem my friends and I were bothering him by asking him simple questions about our meals. He was on the heavier side and wore very tight slacks. He would scoff and roll his eyes in between questions and just seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Maybe post road should reevaluate their employees, because as of now their customer service is not it. If I ever sit and eat at this diner again it’s definitely...
