Post Road Diner is a wonderful nostalgic dining experience conveniently located on Connecticut Avenue, just off exit 14 near Best Buy. Let's face it, there are many good diners in the area, but this one definitely stands out. From the wonderful and delightful staff to the epically large, high quality menu, there is something here for everyone. The egg dishes are some of the best around, but if you aren't craving breakfast you can't go wrong with any of the other items including diner classics like meatloaf, chicken dishes, and freshly made turkey and roast beef platters. No matter where you live in Fairfield County or if you are just passing through, definitely make a stop and experience this wonderful 50s-style diner.

After calling ahead to order a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll sandwich for a late morning breakfast, I was able to get in and out quickly thanks to Edna and her prompt, friendly service. My sandwich was a little pricier than a lot of places I have ordered this from, but it was great, so I have no issue with that - I don't mind paying a little more for top quality products and service. I have been wanting to stop here for a while now because I love the look and vibe of this old school diner. I will definitely return here in the future when work takes me to this area, which happens often enough. If you're in the area, I recommend giving this place a try. There is an ATM there, which may be useful.

A 20min wait for a booth, and about 20mins for food to table, so plan on 40mins before eating. The pancakes were good, standard taste, but large. The "crepes" were not actually crepes. Just a thin pancake. The bacon was very chewy, floppy. The sausage was good. The ham was laughable, 2 thin deli sandwich slices pan fried. Eggs were standard scrambled. Home fries were fresh, chunky, and complimented with onions and peppers. The atmosphere was awesome, classic 50s vibes.
