Mike's Toys and Collectibles — Local services in Ocean City

Extremely disappointed. I came across this shop while strolling the boardwalk on 11/2/24. There is a huge selection and someone could spend hours in the shop just looking. The majority of prices are the equivalent of what you would spend on ebay or higher, so if you're looking for a deal, you won't find it here. I even asked if there was any wiggle room on price of one of the items I was interested in and the guy working the register got snarky and said "there's like 4 guys who work here, so NO!". I wasn't rude to him so I didn't appreciate the way he responded. I almost didn't even complete my purchase because I was so aggravated with him and how uncomfortable he made the whole transaction. On top of this, he was cursing and dropping f-bombs while there were children in the store shopping because someone spilled a few drops of their drink on the floor. Maybe the other guys who work here aren't as miserable as the guy I interacted with. But I'll never know because the next time I visit the boardwalk I won't be stopping in. First impressions are important and if this is how this business operates, then they don't deserve my business again, regardless of how many awesome things I would want to...

Was in there with my children and an older man was cursing about tourists, huffing and puffing. I believe he works there or owns it. Pathetic man. Cursing in front of children in a toy store!!! If you cant compose yourself around tourists who bring in millions to OC, its time to move on. We left fast before he went postal. Update: After looking at other posts about this place it seems common and I fully expect this owner to comment about having a bad day or some other issue he deals with. We'll grow up. Life is hard. Visited this week after coming to OC for a short stay. Good selection of everything but overall meh. Some things that are sold at target or Walmart overpriced. Goes around buying all other stores out and then tries to make a profit since he has the store "only open during summer season" and "is a small buisness in a beach city". I mean if you want to find something specific that is sold out elsewhere come here I guess. Also has his worker (father?) watch others to make sure no one steals since "they have past problems".
