Went to purchase an engagement ring picking it out was a great the guy there was very helpful sent in the ring to get engraving.....that's when I knew I made a mistake buying here it took 2 weeks to get it back, when I got the ring engraving was horrible, not legible, u have use a phone to see what was even engraved even then it was bad. I mentioned this to the guys working there, and they just said that's what happen when u get a small ring. Alright! Thats when i knew I should have gone to Shane co. ...so I went and they fixed in 2 days and they're work was night and day. I will be going to Shane co for now on

Original: I’ve never written a bad review. Im very patient and kind until someone does me wrong more than once.

This location has terrible employees. I’ve been in five times in the past year with ring issues and I’ve only had one person treat me with respect out of all the times I’ve been there and I still felt like I was taken advantage of. The other four times, the employees were extremely rude. They are not willing to work with me without making me feel worthless. I’ve left this kay jewelers in tears FOUR times over the past year because of how poorly I’ve been treated. I’ve been taken advantage of on multiple occasions and it sucks because I have been nothing but kind and patient each time I’ve been in there.

They sold me a $4000 faulty ring that just snapped in half while I was rotating my laundry. Didn’t hit it or pull at it. Just got hooked on a pair of pants and it snapped in half after I gently wiggled it to get it loose. That was just the first time it broke. The second time it got snagged on a dollar tree garbage bag.

I bought the warranty on this ring 6 months before it broke then when I took it in to get it fixed, I don’t feel like I was treated fair. I was told that I’d have to pick a new ring because it was faulty. Well, after paying $450 for a warranty 5 months ago, they MADE me purchase ANOTHER $350 warranty for a new ring even though I didn’t even have an option to use the warranty I already purchased to fix the ring I currently bought. I’m upset because they didn’t even give me an option to get this ring fixed. I shouldn’t have had to pay for a new warranty if they weren’t giving me the option to fix the ring that I already bought. And with my previous ring experiences, I refuse to wear $4000 on my finger without a warranty.

I’m extremely upset. This all happened two- three weeks ago. My sisters wedding is on Saturday and I told them to please expedite this ring so I could have it for her wedding day. It’s now Wednesday so I figured I would call today to make sure it would be here on time. Well, when I called. They had no note on the ring to expedite the order. So now, unless they can figure it out, I won’t have my wedding ring for her wedding day. The girl who answered the phone said she would call me right back, but they are now closed for the night and I never heard from her.

Please please don’t make the mistake of buying from Kay jewelers. They are a money hungry company. They don’t care about how you feel or about the situation. They just want to take more and more of your money.

My sister went with Kay jewelers before all this happened, and she has had very similar experiences.

I feel like this is a terrible company because of the way I have been treated every time I go in there. They are there to make money off of you. Not to fix your issues.

September update: I have never been so upset. After finally getting my new ring ONE MONTH AGO, I lost a freaking diamond. I cleaned my house today. I didn’t snag it or hit it off of anything at all. I will be calling the store tomorrow to get a full refund on every dime spent on this ring. My ring has spent more time in the shop over the past year than on my finger. I’m so upset. On top of that, I haven’t heard back from anybody about my warranty issue. Do yourselves a favor and please don’t buy through Kay jewelers. I have spent close to $5000 total on this ring. I could get a better quality ring out of a quarter machine.

November update: I’ve now had my ring back for TWO months. And guess what. I LOST THE SAME DIAMOND WHILE I WAS SLEEPING. So in less than one year, I’ve gone through two rings that have effortlessly snapped in half and have lost two diamond on two separate occasions. Keep in mind, I have not done anything to make this happen! Very cheap quality rings. My ring has been sent away getting fixed just as much as it’s been on my finger. AND IM NOT ROUGH ON MY HANDS AT ALL!!

I’m over Kay Jewelers. I’m a very kind and easy going person, but this company has screwed me over with every issue I’ve had. Not...

Do not buy ANYTHING from Kay Jewelers. They have terrible products and have even worse manufactures working for them. You do not receive the quality you pay for and they keep trying to get money out of you whenever you need help. This has not been the first time I have had a problem with Kay Jewelers, but it defiantly will be the last.

My husband has purchased two items from them, a necklace and my wedding ring. A few years ago a diamond had fallen out of the necklace, so I went in to go have it fixed. The warranty was not added at the time of the purchase, so I asked how much it would be, the guy reassured me it would not be much at all. After almost 45 minutes of trying to look up the account that it was under (they have an awful and out of date system) he found the account. He then told me that the item was much more expensive than he thought and they warranty was almost triple the amount he had quoted before, around $250.00. Taken aback that he did not know the value of his own product he was selling and kind of offended that he would not think that I could have nice jewelry, I then agreed to pay for the gold work, for that is not included with anything that you buy, unless with a warranty, per say. After weeks of waiting, my necklace was completed. You could tell that the diamond was different, not the same blue color as the others, but I was happy to have it finally back. After a few months, I was examining the necklace and the same diamond had fallen out along with another one. I did not go right in to replace it for I don't just sit at home looking for things to do, I work a full time job and so does my husband, on top of having a 1 and a half year old, we both don't have time to keep going into a place that takes forever to get something done, especially for something that had already been taken care of.

After sometime I had problem with my ring. There are four center diamonds to look like one big diamond. One of the diamonds looked as if it was shattered on the inside, clearly different looking than the other three. So we make a trek to Kay Jewelers once again, with my ring and necklace. After the same long process of looking up the account, they took my ring and said that they would have to send it to the manufacturer to get the diamond replaced since the setting had to be altered (or something along the lines of that), and it would take months for that to get completed. As long as the warranty covered it, I was fine with that. We then gave him my necklace, telling him of what happened I asked if the gold work that I had already paid for was covered, he then said no. If I would have came in within a few months of it getting replaced, it would have been covered. But since I had waited so long, we had to pay for everything again (and more for the other diamond). We then agreed and waiting for everything to get fixed.

My husband received a phone call from Kay Jewelers saying that the manufacturer will not fix my ring because they do not think that the damage was bad enough. My ring had to stay the same with a shattered diamond. Not only would no one fix my ring, but they had the nerve to say that we could pay $500.00 more for a new ring that was the exact same. We have given them thousands of dollars for them to say that they will not fix my broken diamond and that we could pay more for another one. We declined their offer and just wanted the ring back. When my husband went in to pick up my unfixed ring, they could not find it and my husband had to leave and return once more for them to find it. They are disloyal, disorganized and completely in it for nothing more than more and more money. They do not deserve anybody's time or money or respect.

I love my ring and I am not just going to buy a whole new one, it was a gift from my husband, a symbol of us together that I have had for years. This jewelry company does not hold up the values that it says advertises otherwise. Thank you for taking the time to read my...

Every time we come into this store with a warranty issue we always have issues. We've purchased about a frozen or so pieces of jewelry here and every time we have to fight in order to get anything fixed. They always seem to have issues finding the warranty or the account and when they finally locate it we've been told for multiple pieces that we didn't have it cleaned and inspected like you're required and we've had to prove that we have every time and they never have record of this. It's such a hassle. The most recent visit we had. I purchased a simple, personalized titanium band for my husband as an anniversary gift. So far every other piece of jewelry we've had issues with has lost stones or when my mom's ring was repaired by them, they ended up messing up so badly they chipped her diamond. It was a prong they had to fix. Anyway, my husband's ring came in and was about half a size too big. A week and a half later I took it in to get sized down. The instant I walked in the lady insisted they could not size THAT ring when the protection plan I purchased specifically said sizing would be covered withing a size and a half in either direction. She insisted that it couldn't be sized because it would take off the engraving on the inside of the band. When I insisted upon the protection plan saying it could be sized she finally looked up my account. It took about 5 or 10 minutes to even find the account. (This is the only piece we've purchased with my married name and it's a VERY unique last name.) Then when she pulled it up again she still insisted that it couldn't be resized. I asked why the protection plan specifically states it can be and what good is that protection if I can't use it. She called Larry over who told her that they would have to send it back to the manufacturer to be sized or return it and exchange it for the right size. He mentioned it would be a little more work to do if that way but it COULD be done. She turned to him with a pouty look clearly upset about the work. Then she typed maybe 10 characters into the tablet and turned back to me to say she couldn't do it and would need the manager and told me he was out and it would be about 30 minutes before he was back. When I insisted I couldn't wait that long (my daughter was with a babysitter) Larry stepped in to try to take care of it. The manager walked in about 30 seconds later and was able to pull up the information they needed to send it in. Then they still weren't able to because the system wasn't recognizing the manufacturer ID number. So here we are still with a ring that's not sized properly after spending 30-45 minutes at the store. Seriously, the hassle isn't worth the jewelry. You'd think that since the ring was ordered straight from their website and one of the first things you see it would be much easier to get...
