Cavender's Western Outfitter — Local services in Oklahoma City

If I could do a negative star I would.... I went to Cavender's in the early afternoon on Saturday to find boots and an outfit because my husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary by getting pictures done. So, my husband and I went into the store and as he was looking for shirts for our pictures he asked one of the employees if they had a different size and the employee did not even acknowledge that he was asking for some help. So, as this is going on I went over to the ladies boots to try on some boots I had an employee acknowledge that I was there and I told her that I needed some help picking out boots since these were my first boots. She told me yeah I will help you and that I will be right back and guess what she never showed back up and I am standing there getting upset because I did not know my size of boot. So, I am starting to walk out of the store and I see 3 store associates only folding clothes and not saying anything to customers and my husband saw them also on their phones and I saw the same employee that said she was going to help me on the register while the other 3 were not doing anything but talking to each other. I got so upset I decided to leave the store. I have customer service history that I have personally done and by far the employees at Cavender's showed me the worst customer service that I have ever seen. DO NOT SHOP HERE, but if you choose to get ready to be ignored if you need help with getting anything. I would go to a different western store. I will NEVER shop here ever after the experience I...

Cavender's is one of my favorite stores! The selection for kids at this location is lacking. I've shopped there at least 6 times in the last 12 months. I purchase 2-4 pairs of boots/shoes most visits. I only purchased 3 items today.

The employees either have bad training or assume I'm trying to steal. I don't even take a purse in 🤷‍♀️ they lurk! They don't offer any suggestions or mention sales. They take turns approaching MULTIPLE TIMES 🙄 nobody offered help while I was checking out the jewelry case.

I understand keeping an eye on the store. It's annoying but I can deal with it. Maybe they deal with a lot of theft in the area.

I'm making a review today because of my experience at the register. The cashier felt that he needed to comment that my kids and husband found something but I did not & that I was paying instead of my husband IN FRONT OF MY HUSBAND.

Great selection of boots I found some that I'm pretty happy about. There was one thing that hurt my feelings pretty bad. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only brown people that walks in there with tattoos. A woman saw me looking at the boots and just would not leave me alone. I thought it was good customer service at first. However, seeing her peek around the corner every 10 seconds at me, I eventually realized she thought I was trying to steal something. I bought some handsome black boots for 200 bucks and some insoles and she made it very clear that I could not carry them to the counter myself. Maybe it's just me being kind of upset but I'm sure her and the other girl exchanged words and made glances at me at the counter. Regardless, I was very polite and I let her do her thing, but I must say, it hurt. I don't think I'll go back there. I will stick to Boot...
