There's lots of cute sleep and athletic wear, but if you're looking for inclusivity, Victoria's Secret isn't the place for you. The largest size tops they sell are "XL" but look like the typical store's L.
My personal experience: Two of my friends and I visited this store on Monday, and we each have different body types. I am plus sized, Friend A is an average bodied transwoman, and Friend B is fit (not extraordinarily thin, but does have a good physique). It wasn't unexpected that I wouldn't find anything for myself there, but still disheartening. The bras labeled DDD were smaller than my DD bra! Looking for clothes for Friend A was difficult, but we managed to find one set that fit. The bras were almost always tight on her, despite her being a healthy weight. While it would make sense (although still disappointing as it alienates transwomen who aren't fully transitioned or simply have small breasts) to only sell small cup bras with smaller widths, it's for all cup sizes. There were lots of things for Friend B to choose from. Only the smallest sizes are on display. Remember those DDD cups I mentioned? You have to look in drawers under the display case (which aren't even labeled) at the. Very. Bottom.
This being said, I'm in no way "bashing" the employees, as they were very polite and helpful as Friend A and B tried on the products. They didn't even give Friend A any strange looks, despite not being at a point in her transition where she passes as female. I think this problem is at the corporate level. I hope there will be a day when people like me and Friend A can feel welcome in Victoria's Secret just like all the Friend...
Read moreToday I went out shopping with my friend and I ask one of the girls there “is the Sport bras on the rounder 2 for $30 ?” And she told me “yes” so I picked out 2 Sports bras And I went to go try them on , in to the fitting room. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed any help so I had to go look for one of the Victoria’s Secret girls to give me a fitting room. So I fell in love with the bras and I went straight to the line And this is were it gets messy, unfortunately.
So the girl rings me up and tells me my total $75 and I asked “aren’t those part of the deal?” And she tells me “no , because they aren’t ringing up for the deal” and then One of the other Victoria’s Secret girls I believe is one of the managers there tells her to go look at the sign and then the girl comes back and tells her “oh yeah the customer is right it does say that and there is a lot of them there” and then the manager gets frustrated with the employee and says “but did you read the bottom what did it say on the bottom “ and she said yeah it says all Sports bras are 2 for $30 on the pink side and then the Manager on duty says to go remove all those bras and then looks at me and says I’m sorry but I cannot honor this for you and I just said “okay” because I was really embarrassed and there was a really big line behind me but I do work with retail my self and I know that when the employees mess up on marketing they have to honor and give the great customer service they can possibly give out. I come to this Victoria’s Secret at least three times a month and I was really disappointed with today’s...
Read moreExperienced an unprofessional encounter from staff on Friday Feb 24th 4 pm with VC store when I went to return a perfume and gift card. They had asked me to come back with physical card for a refund a day before. Kept me waiting after a customer while my gift card was on their desk, they handed over my card to next customer by mistake even after I let them know they argued with me eventually they stopped the customer on his way out, kept me waiting for a long time to clear up their mess with customer #2, also asked me to wait after customer #3 work is done, when I asked there was no apology just that I have to wait until they figure it out, once line was empty they turned around telling me we cannot refund your card, I asked them why they would tell me this after such a long wait and this is bad customer service, the store representative took this personally even after I let her know I am talking about VC store customer service, she got aggressive on purpose and very unprofessionally called me "rude" because I asked for better customer service while I have not used a single offensive word or anything, she handed me my merchandise and told me if you do not like my service leave the store I immediately left. I have never experienced this unprofessional behavior in any other store. This could be handled professionally and politely in a very different way. Will never go back to this store. Update: I called VC telephone line they were nice, apologized and said they will...
