STIIIZY Palm Desert — Local services in Palm Desert

I am leaving one star because I used to go to authentic for all of my canna needs but after an incident twoish months ago I realized I’ve been buying way less from there, but if the situation was handled differently I would have kept coming back. This disappoints me because I normally had such positive experiences with staff. Essentially my roommate is a Veteran with PTSD, He only ever smoke indica as a sativa will be too triggering and can give a panic attack. The associate with blue hair at the time was helping him, he clarified he wanted only indicas for his prerolls, he noticed one out of the two was a sativa and he asked her to switch it to a indica. The other package was not visible to him. she then switched only one baby jeeter package. He asked her to ensure that both were indicas. She said that she verified he was only buying indicas. He even disclosed a sativa will give a panic attack once he saw one was incorrect. The other package was shoved into the bag and not shown to him.

When he came home and smoked the second package without looking he had a panic attack. Upon closer look it was a sativa. When we contacted management we were further disappointed at the manager on duty. I want to say her name may have been karla? Her demeanor was very victim blameish. We told her the situation and she put it on us to make sure it our order was correct.

We told her he asked MULTIPLE times and even mentioned to the associate he has ptsd and cannot smoke sativa. She said she would look into it and we didn’t get a call until six+ hours later. Again she was very blamish over accountability and only offered an exchange rather than a refund or store credit. My roommate was very traumatized by the experience and threw out the sativas, he hasn’t smoke weed since. If he had a panic attack from weed why would he want to get more? Store credit or a refund would have made a more meaningful apology as there wouldn’t have been a rush to smoke again and he could return in his own time or have had some compensation for wasting 35$ on the wrong strain.

Marijuana is a controlled substance, it’s the responsibility of the associate to ensure medical patients get what they ask for and the job of management to protect customers. I’m extremely disappointed in authentic and no longer feel safe or comfortable buying from them anymore. I’d rather spend money at dispensary’s that respect medical and veteran patients needs. If I could give 0 stars I would!! DO NOT come here!!! I came to this store for the first time in June with friends. Since we’re new to the location, we had to have our medical cards verified — no problem, right? After my friends had their cards checked, I was singled out and harassed by an employee. She told me I needed a digital copy of my med card (I had a printed version which has been enough for the COUNTLESS dispo’s I’ve been to), and that I needed to email my information to the store… When I pulled up the file to send, this woman tells me it’s not enough because it was ‘jpg’ format and not ‘pdf’ format… What?????? Now, I’d be more understanding if this was some oddly intense protocol enforced on all med card holders, but my friends information was only checked once (and it was the allegedly forbidden printed paper. ummmm, security issue much?) Same staff member then tells me I need to contact my DOCTOR on this random afternoon to send me a pdf version of the file. By this point my friends had already checked out and there’s a huge new line of people behind me. I’m in tears because the staff is humiliating me, and im scrabbling to find the number of my doctor — hoping they’d even answer. My provider did respond luckily, but laughed when I told them the ridiculous quest this store had me on. The cherry on top was after all this abuse from the staff, they sent me to the back of the line to wait all over again (and basically ignored me at the register). That’s not customer service babe! TLDR; DO. NOT. COME. HERE!!!!! Especially if you are a younger or disabled person! What the staff here failed to realize is that med cards are medical. Sure, it’s easy to target a younger person, but I’m going to a dispensary for a reason. The situation I was put in by these employees was extremely stressful, and that is a legitimate medical risk for me! If you’re in Palm Desert and want somewhere that is safe/inclusive, I HIGHLY suggest “The Leaf.” Incredible staff and security who made me feel welcome, had AMAZZZZZING deals, and took my disability seriously :)

I recently visited the Stiiizy dispensary in Palm Desert, and honestly, it was one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a disorganized atmosphere and a staff that seemed more interested in chatting with each other than assisting customers.

The product selection was mediocre at best. I expected a wide range of options given Stiiizy's reputation, but the shelves were sparsely stocked, and many items I wanted were out of stock. When I asked a staff member for recommendations, I was met with vague answers and an eye-roll that clearly communicated my presence was an inconvenience.

The overall cleanliness of the dispensary left much to be desired. The floors were sticky, and the display cases looked like they hadn't been wiped down in ages. If hygiene is an indicator of how they handle their products, I’m definitely concerned about what they’re selling.

To make matters worse, the prices were shockingly high for the quality of the products available. I felt like I was being charged a premium for a subpar experience. When I finally decided to make a purchase, I was hit with long wait times and a confusing checkout process that felt more like a hassle than a shopping experience.

In summary, my visit to Stiiizy Palm Desert was anything but pleasant. With unhelpful staff, a lack of product variety, unclean facilities, and overpriced goods, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I won't be returning, and I suggest others think twice before wasting their time...
