A nice addition to Palm Desert. The Indian motif restaurant is set in nonformal buffet style and "yes" buffet in offered during lunch only. Come visit the waitress who always had a smile on her everytime she sees you. She'll give you great service and good Indian food that fits your basic needs. The Saag Paneer or Palak Paneer is delicately flavored with spices and has large pieces of cheese. The Mushroom Korma is yummy, the flavors are just right! These dishes are a staple in traditional homes eaten with Naan bread. The Tandoori Chicken and Saffron Seek Kabob are "okay." Most dishes can be cooked to your spices level. Finish you meal with Gulab Jamon, a fried milk and cheese round soaked in a simple syrup and sprinkled with coconut shavings. Don't forget the Mango Lassi, a yogurt drink is a must try for mango lovers.

As a vegetarian, to find a restaurant that does not just cater to non-vegetarians is extremely rare but Monsoon caters to all not just those meat eaters and does it better than anyone. We've been eating here for a year or more and it just gets better each time. *We've only eaten here during the buffet so we've gotten it instead of menu orders. They bring you choice of Naan to the table and you can go straight to buffet. Everything for me and my husband (meat eater) was the best that we've ever had. Honestly, they beat any restaurant in the desert. It's an easy place to miss so use that Google map search for it. There are other locations in Palm Springs, which is excellent also and Indio, which we haven't tried yet.

We should have read the reviews prior to coming.... The service was fine but the staffs weren't able to answer some basic questions, as well as they didn't even know what Halal is (one of my guest has dietary restriction)... The taste was decent but the garlic naan was chewy, stale and super greasy. Worst comes to worst, the the chicken was cold!!! It's absolutely crazy and scary to think the "fresh" chicken served to us was COLDDDD. The owner didn't even do anything about the cold chicken but just microwaved it. This place is honestly a disgrace to the Indian cuisine...

We knew the restaurant closes at 3pm we did our best to arrive for 2:15pm. We get there and the greeting we got was go take your buffet I was like I didn’t get seated she was like sit where ever you want. So I go to the buffet nothing was there everything was dried up to the base. So I told her I don’t want this it’s left overs only a spoon of each item. I asked if Al a carte was available she said yes. So we picked our booth sat down and reviewed the menu. She came after 2 mins asking what we wanted I felt so pressured and rushed so we ordered our beers and thought let’s get the large ones since we are being rushed. She was like the large ones? I told her yes I am on vacation. I was given 2 mins to decide on food. Not to bore you, order was placed, I requested chilis as I can only eat spicy foods. No joke I placed the order and the food came out in 5 mins. I think I had just opened up my beer. As I was enjoying the app, she ran up and asked what do you want for mains. I lost my appetite. I placed the order. I knew at that point it’s coming in 30 seconds. What an experience when you are on vacation. She was finishing at 3 pm so she wanted to leave. No asking if we needed anything else. I think the owner or owners son came out, I expressed my disappointment. He felt bad and asked me if she said anything. I’m not a squealer so I said no. I really wanted to sit and enjoy my time as I am free. I have taken my left over food with me as I could not eat in 15 mins. I think I...

DO NOT go to this restaurant or order food from here! The servers were nice but did not know much about the dishes. The food quality is very bad, not even close to being authentic Indian food. The naan is not even worthy of its name. Other reviewers who liked the food probably don't have any other Indian restaurants to compare to especially if you are a local. To make things worse, they charge you more for every dish than the prices on the menu. When I brought this up with the server, he pointed me to the take-out menu (which we were not given) where it said "Prices subject to change without notice". Then I asked to speak to the manager/owner. The owner came out of the kitchen with a rude attitude and pointed ne to the same line on the menu. I asked him that basically they could charge me any amount because of the disclaimer. I told him that I am being very polite, can you please explain to me what I am asking. He just left and went back into the kitchen. I am very surprised by the behavior of the owner towards a customer who is asking a genuine...

Worst place ever, all tray were empty at 2:30pm. 3 trays empty, No refill until asked for it. No chicken in chicken tikka masala. Undercooked no marination chicken tikka masala. When asked for naan only one was served, the 2nd time we asked they only bought one more amongst 4 people. When asked for 3rd naan we were told you have to pay for it, which is ok but the lady was super rude in saying like we couldn’t afford to buy a naan. On top of that she is picking up the tray’s telling me it’s almost 3pm, if that’s the case- do not accept customers post 2:30pm if you are in such a rush but don’t tell me “I am owner” first of all it is - I am the owner, maybe go to school and learn better English and also get a class on how to converse with customers or what customer service is. Staff was more curtious than the owner, maybe she needs to shut down the place if she cannot afford to run it. A BUFFET MEANS ALL YOU CAN EAT, not you only get limited food. Pathetic ownership and experience. Place won’t last long with...
