Lisa's Luxury Resale — Local services in Palm Harbor

I am very angry and disappointed with my experience with this Consignment Store! ( I have been buying and selling in Consignment for years) I took approximately 15 pieces of clothing there and was told the owner was not in and to leave my items, she would go through them and I could come back in a couple of days. I called two days later and they still had not been gone through. Five days later I showed up at the store, the owner handed me $9 dollars cash, five pieces of clothing that they had not accept and a bunch of empty hangers! There was no itemization of the items that were accepted, no list, no written offer and my clothes that were being accepted were no where in site!! I was like a deer in headlights! Shocked! I said I would like to see which items you accepted for the $9 dollars. She said, "it's too late, they are already out on the floor in the shop, on display". The other two sales ladies and the owner just stared at me as if this was normal business practice. I felt like I had just been ripped off! I was getting ready to leave for a two week vacation the next day and didn't have the time or energy to fight this, besides being in shock. I called another Consignment Store in the area to determine if this is "normal practice" they advised me absolutely NOT!!! I know I should have just gone through the store and picked out my items and taken them back, but I have learned my lesson. I hope that this does not happen to any...

The owner denied knowing anything about several clothing items that were left as part of a consignment agreement. I believed that she was honest so I did not take pictures of everything nor was I able to go back periodically to check on everything. I explained I had two deaths in my family and was having surgery, she did not care. She essentially held on to some items, saying they were donated, but when I inquired there was no receipt or proof of that. I would have gladly picked them up if I knew she was going to discard them. She never communicated this. I am a small business owner as well. I also believe these items were sold, but I would not know because of the lack of paperwork and proof. Additionally, she sold an item for 100 dollars under the agreed price which I was supposed to be notified of to see if I wanted to still sell it. This never happened! I do not like being taken advantage of and hopefully no one else will be either. Think twice! Go anywhere else before getting into business...

If I could I would give this store 0 stars. Went there about 6 or 8 months ago.Was paid $2 for non brands and $3 for brand names.
