On August 2nd, 2024, I reached out to Patrick at Salty Sound to discuss my audio equipment needs. Specifically, I was interested in purchasing an 18-inch subwoofer, an amplifier, and a line output converter. Patrick was very responsive and accommodating, and he even mentioned the possibility of a military discount. Our installation appointment was scheduled for Friday, the 6th, which was my day off. Since I reside an hour away, I adjusted my work schedule to be closer, ensuring that Patrick would not have to drive an hour himself. As a courtesy, I sent a message on Thursday to confirm the appointment. On Friday, I reached out to the technician, but unfortunately, I did not receive a response. I sent a follow-up message, and he confirmed that he would be available shortly after lunch. Subsequently, I received a text message inquiring about the weather conditions at my location, to which I responded that it was lightly raining. Shortly after, I received another text message stating that he was 16 minutes away, followed by a message saying "I'm Here". However, it became apparent that these messages were mistakenly sent to me, as they were intended for another client. Regrettably, the technician did not arrive as scheduled.

Later, he suggested that we reschedule the appointment for Saturday, Sunday, or definitively on Monday lol. In anticipation of the appointment, I proactively ran the power and ground for the amplifier and purchased all the necessary components to complete the installation.

On Tuesday, since I had not heard from the technician, I reached out to him again. During our conversation, I mentioned that the only remaining task was the installation of the LOC. Surprisingly, he became agitated and insisted that I did not require a LC7i, suggesting that a cheaper passive LOC would suffice. Despite my explanation of the rationale behind choosing the upscale LOC, he dismissively remarked that I had been overly influenced by internet information and that I seemed to have all the answers, implying that I should proceed with the installation myself.

Regrettably, it appears that my relatively small installation project did not align with the technician's priorities or business interests, resulting in a lack of proper communication and professionalism. Did a great job on my wife's 2021 Yukon AT4, sounds great and am already scheduled to do my truck. Priced reasonably, works to your budget, very knowledgeable, and realistic. Extremely polite and respectful which is hard to come by anymore.

At first writing I thought it was fine. Unfortunately I have to edit. I had the front door speakers and the dash mount speakers replaced. Two weeks into the speaker upgrade my wife realized Apple Carplay wasnt working. You couldnt hear anything. I assumed from what was explained that when you activate voice to text, the car switches to the front speakers exclusively. He installed speakers that did not have the full range of sound that the stocks did so it just wasnt producing sound. I told him this and instead of verifying or even researching, he argued with me about how he has never had this issue, and it wasnt his fault, and maybe it was some software issue and I need to look up how to change the eq. I am more than willing so I did. I looked high and low. I told him again and he insisted that it was a software issue. A while later he came to the same conclusion. He offered me a full refund but to let him try to install full range speakers instead. He did it, but two days into those speakers, aside from them having half the sound quality that the stocks had, the front right speaker had a rattle.
