Monkey Licks Ice Cream — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

I had too many problems to even count when I went to this parlor with my family. We thought it would be great way to end the night from such an exhausting day—get ice cream, head back to the hotel, and relax. This definitely took a fast turn when for starters the lady working the stand was moving at an extremely slow pace, as if she was trying to make people leave, and was constantly repeating that she was too tired to every person who ordered. We finally got up to order after waiting 20 minutes for 5 people. As soon as we walked up, she was persistently trying to get us to hurry up order because she was tired and they were about to close, even though GOOGLE says they are open from 10:00am - 12:00am everyday. Regardless, we continued our first order (Rocky Road), till she said she couldn’t scoop it because, and I quote, “the ice cream is too hard and my wrist hurts”. To order 5 ice cream cones it took over 20 minutes and was constantly rolling her eyes, and told every costumer that came in after us, “no, we’re closed”. Y'all need to seriously FIRE the girl who works here she is running off business closing hours early, the website says closing is at 12:00 and at 11:00 she wouldn’t serve us. She is VERY rude and called my husband and I stupid very loudly as we were walking back across the street to our hotel. How are we stupid for coming in an hour before closing? Your door was WIDE OPEN. Very disrespectful. My husband turned around after she called us stupid and was asking her why she said that and the other girl comes out of the gift shop yelling and acting crazy at my husband trying to get him to come back across to street to fight. It was INSANE. And I would not recommend coming here unless you want to be called stupid for trying to get ice...

This place is awful the way they treat those poor birds are very miss treated. As the owner of a macaw I know that the cages the birds are in are way to small and Macaws need a lot of attention as well as a diet of fresh fruits and vegetables. The poor birds here have stress feathers and try to bite when you are close to the cage. This place is absolutely not taking care of there birds properly and I only hope that the birds are given a better life because in these conditions the birds will never be happy. I do not support any business that is abusing there animals...
