The Salon at Wynn Las Vegas — Local services in Paradise

Went here a bunch of times and had Rosie do my haircut. The experience was great until the last time I went there - I arrived at the appointment and she immediately asked me if I could see Peter (or maybe Ray; can't remember his name) instead because he was a specialist for long hair - and I could tell it was BS - I said whatever because I felt like she had someone else who she could make more money off of - and based on her conversation it was clear she did not want to cut my hair because a men's haircut does not pay as much as a women's. She made me feel uncomfortable - and as a local in Vegas - it is already a stretch for me to go to the strip because us locals hate the strip. As soon as Ray or Peter started cutting my hair - a woman arrived and Rosie greeted her. WHICH MEANS SHE DOUBLED-BOOKED and didn't respect my time. Ray or Peter was not very enthused to cut my hair and even made a joke in the middle of my haircut to Rosie while she was doing the women's hair that she would owe him coffee for it - and she said she would pick some up for him. It made me feel really uncomfortable. I would have had no issue if the office would have called me and asked if I could have done a different time. They need to raise their standards if they expect to maintain business for locals. I love the Wynn and Encore - love the food and everything about it. Sinatra and Lakeside (RIP) are my favorite restaurants, period. The front desk staff is amazing at this salon. And Ray or Peter did a great job with the haircut - the issue was how fake Rosie was - all they had to do was call ahead of time if they valued a Green valley housewife...

I went in to refresh my mani + pedi. I already had a gel mani + pedi on my nails but opted to get a regular polish due to cost (gel mani + pedi would add an extra $70).

The salon was nice. However, I did not have a good experience. When they were taking off my gel manicure, I told them that it was painful and I could feel that the drill was heating up my nails causing a "burning" sensation.

During the polish application, I noticed that my pinky nail was chipped, but they did not notice that it was chipped. I flagged the chip nail to fix before they put the polish but it wasn't fully fixed and the nail broke again shortly after leaving the salon. They ended up making nails so brittle and weak. My nails are now super fragile and have broken many times.

Without a doubt, the worst customer service you could ever experience. Not only was I a guest paying for a silly room price, but I got sick while at the hotel after eating a bad salad. I was in bed, unable to even get out of my room to look for medicine, when I rang the salon 4 hours in advance to explain how sick I was, they still made me pay the whole thing and were awful about it, while I was down trying to fix the issue I overheard the staff saying they don't get a penny of a discount for services at their own salon. Just goes to show, bad food, bad service, they treat their staff...
