Thank you for reminding me what a good brunch spot looks like!
The boyfriend and I were staying at The Wynn and didn’t feel like splurging for Lakeside’s Jazz Brunch due to us being overly stuffed from the buffet the night before. With that in mind, we figured we would try our luck at Terrace Pointe Cafe since the pricing here was comparable to the rest of the restaurants in the hotel but had a way better view.
If you’re fortunate enough to be a Tower Suites guest or got a lucky line pass from the front desk, you can use either of these to skip the line. We did not need this on Sunday around noon, however, since we just called before heading down and found that the wait to sit outside was around 15 minutes.
What really drew me here was the croissant French toast for $18. I had never heard of something like this before so I really wanted to try it out and was not disappointed. Was it sweet? Yes! Was it super filling? Without a doubt. But was it all worth it? Absolutely! If you’re coupling this with their bottomless mimosas or bellinis package for $30, feel free to take your time with both.
The boyfriend opted for the bacon and avocado omelette which was also choc full of both and truly heaven-sent. Because it was really filling, he never had the chance to eat the toast that it came with but we did take home the cute little jars of jam... I mean, how could you not?
I did order a side of hash browns but was really disappointed by it. It was really tough and on the sweet side for some reason, but I suspect this may be more from the ketchup than anything. Anyways, I guess I was expecting a hash brown with a little more oomph and this did not deliver.
One thing I did also want to mention was that you could mix and match your bottomless mimosas and bellinis because they come in the same size flute. If you order the sangria, then you can’t! But that’s obviously because it comes in a wine glass. So pick your poison.
Overall, loved the experience, the food, the drinks, and the view and would certainly do...
Read moreThe wife picked out a gem with this brunch spot! By far one of the best meals I’ve had in Las Vegas.
As we walked up, we were seated immediately. They have a few different menus - one being the “living well” menu which is where I ended up choosing the pan-roasted salmon which highlighted a carrot soufflé.
The wife had her eyes set for a while on her menu item. Complimenting her vanilla latte coffee order she ordered the churro waffle. The reason why is for the syrup flavor and drizzle that came with it. “Dulce de leche cream & guava maple syrup” those are two of her favorite flavors with guava being her all-time favorite.
We decided also to order sides of both crispy bacon and hash browns. It’s nice to know when you order a bacon they ask if you would prefer the bacon to be chewier or crunchy. Team crunchy all of the way!
The food came out quick and there definitely was an emphasis on presentation. Both of our entrees were stunning to look at. Now did taste live up to the presentation? You bet it did.
My wife exclaimed on how the guava maple syrup actually tasted like guava and was a delightful presence to compliment “one of the best waffles” she’s ever had. The churro waffle itself is topped with the Dulce de leche cream and mini chocolate pebbles while coating the entire waffle itself in cinnamon sugar. Phenomenal choice and her favorite meal of the trip.
The bacon was very crispy and gone within seconds. The hash browns were nice but needed a bit of black pepper.
My pan-roasted salmon was fantastic. The fish tasted fresh and the carrot soufflé is a game changer. Best carrot soufflé ever. This was not overly sweet and the pairing between the salmon and carrot purée is exquisite. I also enjoyed how it made me feel nourished but not stuffed.
Great food, great presentation & the best recommendation for brunch in Las Vegas. Don’t miss out on this gem, it’s a 4.6 (at the time of writing) for a...
Read moreI don’t typically write reviews, but I’ve never left a restaurant feeling quite this disappointed. The decor is nice, and the view of the pool is pleasant—but unfortunately, that’s where the compliments end.
Hoping to get a good first impression of Vegas, I deliberately avoided the typical celebrity-endorsed or chain restaurants, thinking this spot might offer something more genuine. Instead, I ended up with a dining experience far worse than expected.
Our food took nearly 20 minutes to arrive, which might’ve been forgivable if the meal had been worth the wait. It wasn’t.
First, I strongly advise against ordering the Vietnamese coffee. If you’ve had actual Vietnamese coffee before, you’ll be baffled by this interpretation. It tasted like a generic, overly sweet iced coffee—completely lacking in depth, strength, or balance. It was so underwhelming I couldn’t even finish it, and I’d been genuinely craving coffee.
The Steakhouse Wedge Salad seemed like it had been plated well before anything else and left to wilt. The lettuce was browning at the edges, the steak was at least 30% fat and gristle, and despite blue cheese being listed on the menu, there wasn’t a trace of it on the plate. The only redeeming quality was that the steak was cooked rare, as requested—credit where it’s due, I suppose.
My friend ordered the Bacon Avocado Omelette, which was unremarkable in every sense. The single slice of avocado on top was brown and oxidized—something I’d expect to find wrapped in plastic at the back of my fridge, not on a $20+ breakfast plate served to a paying guest.
In short, the stylish ambiance can’t mask what is ultimately the greatest culinary sin: overpriced, underwhelming food. If you’re visiting Vegas and only have a few chances to dine out, don’t make the same mistake my group did. You’re not missing anything by skipping this place—except a frustrating experience and a...
