I expected a lot more based on the reviews and on the cost. Long story short - I am in immense pain after my massage and the facilities were dirty and staff was rude. I would not recommend this spa to anyone and am shocked they ever received any awards or recognition based on my experience.
Treatment: 130 minute encore escape couples massage Cost: ~$1296 once the automatic (and mandatory, regardless of experience) 20% tip was added.
Pros: My mom enjoyed her massage The bathrobes and sandals were very comfortable The soap/shampoo/hair products were nice quality, as were the towels
Cons: Took 20 minutes to check in with only two parties in front of us. We then were rushed because we only had 5 minutes to change and get to our treatment rooms, so our treatment in the end was not the full 130 minutes. My bathrobe was dirty when I pulled it out of my locker, both from someone else's hair being stuck to it/in it as well as with a large black mark on the tie where it looks like it was dragged across the floor. Had to use it anyway because of the above point Our treatment room included a private toilet, but it clearly had not been cleaned in between clients because there was no toilet paper and skid marks in the toilet. Disgusting. Overall cleanliness of spa/turnaround was not good - shower drains were clogged with hair (picture attached) and they were out of almost everything. I had to ask for a brush because none were provided, move between showers to get shampoo and body wash because they were almost all empty, and there were no cold waters available only room temperature until the last 10 minutes we were there The amenities in general were underwhelming. Two jacuzzi tubs that seat ~6 at 103 degrees, and two “plunge” pools at 70 degrees. Sauna and steam room were closed down. Hot stone chairs were mildly warm but definitely not hot. The pictures make the spa look much more luxurious than it was, it is a large room that echos and just didn't feel relaxing at all Lastly - I had the worst massage of my life. I am now going on day 3 after my massage and am in so much pain it hurts to walk, hurts to sit up straight, and hurts to lay down because my neck, shoulders, back, and right side of my leg were treated so poorly. My massage therapist kept telling me to not resist and to relax, but she was pulling/pushing my body beyond the limits my muscles were clearly signaling and she completely ignored it. I told my mom right after it finished that it was a bad massage but that I didn’t want to say anything to interupt her experience (she liked her massage therapist a lot). I wanted to complain that day, but there was no one to be found to even complain to. I called back on Monday after the pain continued to progress on the second and third day to see if I could get a treatment to try to work out what happened during my appointment. The spa manager was rude and had no empathy for the pain her staff put me in and told me it’s company policy to file a report with security and that I could not be seen by anyone at the spa. I filed the report and their claims department will be in touch in a week but they specified compensation is not guaranteed. Mind you, I never asked for a refund I just wanted someone to try to fix the horrible shape my body was left in after my treatment, especially before trying to fly home in so much pain. I am an active person and have had plenty of massages and have never experienced something like this. The pain continues to get worse and I began having sharp pains from my shoulder to my back today (54 hours after my appointment). I now will be flying back to NYC with this pain and will try to find a therapist there to try to resolve the issues the Encore spa created. I hope my experience never happens to anyone else and am still in disbelief of the service I received.
I have gotten massages in numerous locations throughout the world at luxury spas and this was the least value for money I have...
Read moreMy recent visit to the Encore Spa was nothing short of extraordinary. The moment I stepped through its grand entrance, I was enveloped in an oasis that seamlessly blended tranquility and sophistication. The facility was not just clean, it was immaculate, every surface gleaming with meticulous attention to detail. The decor, a stunning fusion of modern elegance and timeless opulence, featured high ceilings adorned with soothing ambient lighting and rich, textured materials that offered an inviting, comforting embrace. Each design element seemed to have been carefully chosen to elevate the overall atmosphere, creating a visual feast of soft colors and elegant furnishings that set the stage for an unforgettable journey of relaxation.
The amenities provided were undeniably satisfying and thoughtfully designed to cater to every conceivable need of discerning guests. The relaxation areas were expansively spacious, furnished with plush loungers and serene water features, creating a peaceful environment perfect for unwinding. The service offerings were impeccable, from the soft, plush robes provided for each visitor to the premium skincare products that beckoned guests to indulge their senses. The overall experience felt indulgent and refined, as if every aspect was curated to ensure maximum comfort and satisfaction.
What truly sets Encore Spa apart is its exceptional staff. Each team member I encountered was not only attentive and gracious but also deeply committed to creating a personalized experience for every guest. Their warm demeanor and eagerness to cater to every whim elevated my visit and fostered a sense of genuine hospitality that made the entire experience feel special.
However, as with any fine establishment, I encountered a minor shortcoming during my visit. The temperature of the Jacuzzi, while pleasant, fell short of reaching the inviting warmth one would typically expect from such a luxurious feature. This slight deviation was a notable contrast to the otherwise exceptional amenities and left me wishing for a more soothing embrace to complement the relaxation I sought.
Moreover, while the Encore Spa undoubtedly offers a luxurious experience, there is potential for even more. An expansion or renovation could further enhance its vastness and elevate its offerings. Many comparable spas along the Strip boast extensive, multifaceted facilities with a broader array of amenities, such as hydrotherapy pools, steam and sauna rooms, and unique wellness treatments. An expansion could position Encore Spa at the pinnacle of luxury wellness destinations, truly setting it apart in the competitive landscape of spa retreats.
In conclusion, while there are areas that could be improved, the Encore Spa remains a true gem in the world of spa retreats. With impeccable cleanliness, captivating decor, and staff that exude professionalism and genuine care, it offers a memorable and rejuvenating escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. It is an experience I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a sanctuary of...
Read moreUpon entering The Spa at Encore you’re transported into a luxurious, calm environment. The atmosphere throughout has a very zen energy with eclectic decor fit for a palace somewhere exotic. The spa is equipped with private massage rooms, both wet & dry sauna, the jacuzzi/hot-tubs as well as cold plunge pools. You’re provided a locker, sandals, and a cozy high quality robe. The locker rooms, bathrooms, and large showers are sufficiently supplied with basic necessities, feminine products, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, along with vanities, hair dryers, etc. A large lounge is tucked away, perfect for a nap or meditation on a comfy chaise lounge.
Both times I’ve attended, the capacity was limited to ensure privacy, quiet & calm. Soothing music plays softly & a light relaxing aroma lingers in the air. I received a 50min full body massage, requesting deep tissue & focus on specified areas. The massage therapists are all highly skilled, qualified & experienced. I did have to request harder pressure be applied but overall the massage was sensational. You’re able to specify if you have a gender preference for your massage therapist. A huge perk is, you do not have to be a guest, purchasing a massage or day pass gives you access to the gym/spa/bath house & amenities for the entire day. I wish I could provide photos of the beautiful amenities, however; photography is not allowed in most areas, as nudity is permitted if desired (and for those who don’t, private dressing rooms are available.)
The only reason I’m giving 4/5 is unfortunately customer service related. Initially, I was thrilled by how friendly & accommodating the staff was the first time I scheduled. I was astonished by how quickly they were able to get me in (I was shocked at the ability to set a same or next day appointment.) Naturally; services vary in cost as a wide variety of packages are offered; I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. The second time I scheduled a massage, I called as I would be arriving 10min late. Of course it is not the spa’s fault I was a few minutes late- however, the services I paid for were quite expensive & of course I respect there are no refunds for being late- I still had time to receive 80% of the service I paid for.. instead was told no. I didn’t appreciate how that was handled, but I didn’t make a fuss as the woman on the phone was slightly abrasive. Since I paid a few hundred dollars for nothing basically (accepting it was entirely my fault, but trying to salvage what I spent,) I wanted to at least enjoy the amenities. She made it sound as though I wouldn’t even be able to do that, but I already knew the policy & was already arriving during the call anyway. I walked in less than 5min later & as anticipated, was permitted to utilize the amenities until close (I could tell by their voices neither of the women at the front desk were who I spoke to on the phone.)
Overall, this is my favorite spa in Las Vegas. I highly recommend, and look forward to coming back next time...
