Unforgettable Hot Air Balloon Experience in the Las Vegas Desert
I recently embarked on a hot air balloon excursion over the Las Vegas desert, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The adventure started just before dawn, adding to the excitement as we prepared for our flight.
Smooth Takeoff and Stunning Views
Watching the balloon inflate was a mesmerizing experience. As we gently lifted off the ground, the sensation was both thrilling and peaceful. The views from above were spectacular â the vast desert landscape, and distant mountains made for a breathtaking panorama. Our pilot was not only highly skilled but also very informative, sharing interesting facts about the geography and history of the area.
A Serene and Scenic Flight
The tranquility of floating high above the ground, combined with the stunning sunrise casting beautiful colors over the desert, created a serene and magical atmosphere. It was a unique perspective that offered a newfound appreciation for the natural beauty of Nevada.
Perfect Landing and Champagne Toast
The descent was smooth, and the landing was perfectly executed. Upon landing, we were greeted by the ground crew and treated to a celebratory Champagne toast by the pilot Jeff (master baguette), which added a delightful and luxurious touch to the end of our journey. It was a wonderful way to commemorate such a fantastic experience.
Final Thoughts
This hot air balloon ride is a must-do for anyone visiting/from Las Vegas. It offers a peaceful contrast to the city's vibrant energy and provides an unforgettable way to experience the natural beauty of the desert. From the professional organization and friendly pilot to the breathtaking views and celebratory Champagne toast, every aspect of the excursion was...
Read moreThis was an awesome experience and I highly recommend! I was kind of hesitant when we had to wake up at 2:15am, to meet at 3:45am, to drive an hour and watch the sunset at about 6am...but hindsight, it was worth taking off the bucket list. The pilot was great and informative on any questions we had. We spent about an hour in the air and reached 14,000 feet. The basket is quartered off, and they tell people which section to stand in for weight distribution. My fiance and I got lucky to have our own section. It was a cold morning with temperatures in the 40s, but once the fire engine on the balloon got going, it felt warm. We had a soft landing and shared some champagne and orange juice afterwards. We had to wait for the balloon to be deflated and loaded (you could help with some of this, we did), but we also used this time to take lots of pictures.
The other balloon that launched with us stayed at a way lower altitude, likely because someone didn't want to go as high as possible. I was glad that I was on the balloon where no one minded.
A recommendation I have for those looking to book a flight, check what time sunrise is at. A recommendation I have for the company, update the site to mention the one hour drive to the launch site and the one hour drive back, update the site to include the city where we'll be launching so customers can check the weather and temperature to dress accordingly, lastly there has to be a more efficient way of loading that balloon and basket onto the cargo bed. With two to three employees trying to roll a 700lb ballon, someone is...
Read moreThe service and follow-through from this company is absolutely devastating. I booked a flight for my husbandâs 30th birthday and was very much looking forward to it. Understandably, our flight was cancelled due to weather. We had three days left of our trip. As advised in their recorded message (which you canât get until less than 12 hours before your flight), I called right away to reschedule. I left a message for them with all the information about contacting me. I received absolutely no follow-up. I then received another email from them that said âflight confirmationâ as the subject line. I thought maybe theyâd rescheduled for one of the days Iâd left on the message. Instead, it was just telling us AGAIN (and two days after the fact) our flight was cancelled. Keep in mind I still had received no return call. I responded to the email asking a number of questions regarding the matter, including why they hadnât followed up, when we could reschedule, and when we would receive a refund. They then replied to my email telling me we could reschedule a FULL MONTH from the date of our original flight as though anyone would still be on vacation that long. I was told I would receive a refund 7-10 days from the date of our flight. It was 13 days before the money was returned (over $300). I seriously encourage the owners, proprietors, or managers to assess the reasons for such poor communication. For a tourist operation, I was shocked and disappointed. We have enjoyed plenty of things in Vegas better managed for...
