We just stopped by on my baby's 3rd birthday to check out some cool things, but apparently my toddler (who's pretty well behaved for her age) is making people not want to shop. So... we're gonna take our money somewhere were kids are actually welcome. The lady at the counter also wanted to keep going with my mother in law and sister in law after my husband and baby walked out. Never going to recommend this to anyone with children of ANY age. If my child isn't welcome, neither are we.
We were not in there for 30 minutes like they're claiming, NOR was the mic even turned up at all. We are also from out of town and were planning on spending money in your store, looking for a birthday gift for a 3 year old. We were in there for less than 10 minutes. You also just admitted she was well behaved, and then contradicted yourself saying she was screaming the entire time which is not true. You are entitled to a child free life, not a child free world. Put a sign up if you don't want kids in there. I was extremely understanding, and we LEFT. You wanted to keep arguing without us even in there to defend my daughter. Makes me wonder if it was because we were the only Hispanic family there... Keep on arguing, you're more than welcome to. You know youre in the wrong Whatever helps you sleep at night. I didnt even storm or stomp out. After I politely turned off her microphone and put it in my pocket, I quickly chose to leave because if my daughter isnt welcome then my family and I are not going to spend my money on over priced so called "vintage" products. If me allegedly storming out and telling me family I'm not going to spend my hard earned money here, that's on you for being clear we weren't welcome. You didnt even ask us to leave, we left by choice due to your nasty behaviors. Sounds like you're just upset about the review about the real experience we had. Enjoy the internet. As someone else who also owns a small business, hopefully this is a lesson learned on your end about how you treat potential customers and their family. All 4 of us were planning on spending money here. I've been to plenty thrift and antique stores that would never treat a 3 year old like a nuisance. You deserve the 1 star reviews from our visit, they're not slanderous if it's true. Actually, you guys deserve a 0 star for continuing to argue, even on reviews Have the day you deserve. You are straight up lying about what happened and you know it. It was the experience you gave us, and the experience you continue to give us on here. You chose to cater to others, and we chose to leave because our views on children being children don't align. (Even though there's a loud childrens museum behind you.) You never even acknowledged my child (thank goodness honestly, i dont need that kind of attitude around her), nor did i say you did. You made it clear we werent welcome because she simply was being a well behaved toddle like you even said, so we left. She literally told me we're making others not want to shop, even if you had a smile on your face, so we left without even having to be asked to. Why would we want to continue to shop with that being said? You made us uncomfortable for my child being in there. The lady even asked my sil if there was more to say, so I'm sure it was said since you asked. Don't ask a question you don't want an answer to, point blank period. Your question was definitely an opening to a real response from my family, and unprofessional on your end. Also strange you would put another customers personal life as an explanation, sounds like you must know them personally. I have the right to post our real experience, and you have the right to respond... Good luck on business.
TLDR: 0 stars, terrible business practice and customer service. Grown adults hating on a toddler on her birthday. Would not...
Read moreCoward running this place we were there for less than 15 minutes my 3 year old was being fussy and playing with her toy like every other normal toddler. Owner kept giving me dirty looks and following me around as If I was stealing or something but wasn't man enough to approach me until I handed over the toddler to my wife to look around then that's when they spoke up TO HER not me about "apparent screaming and made up elderly women that were not even in the store getting panic attacks " which is a lie it was our family and 2 other young couples in there and nobody cared about our toddler making noise except the owners they even turned up the music before saying anything at all lol. Next time complain to me not my wife sir if its such a problem or put up signs to let families know children are not tolerated.
And not to be insensitive but "Grace" being sound sensitive is nobody elses problem and maybe she should be avoiding public settings, especially a location that is around the corner from a childrens museum which is where we came from. God Bless maybe you'll take some time to reflect on who is the actual bad guy in this situation. You picked one set of customers over the others so that says a lot and that's all I'll say because clearly you prioritized their...
Read morethis wonderful antique and vintage shop has been great experience both times i have visited. the staff behind the counter has always been kind and greets everyone who comes in. the shop itself has a great assortment of various items and an impressive upstairs collection for thrifted clothing ! something i also appreciate is how well kept and organized everything is (which makes the browsing experience a lot less overwhelming than most other antique and vintage shops) ! do pay yourself a visit if youâre in the area and support a small, local...
