I’ve bought a dining several days ago. It came with a defect and the table turned to be good just for staging the house where no one lives and uses it as if you lean on the side of the table it will break. I called the store within an hour of delivery and now I’ll be charged 20% + shipment 137$ for the return, which they never mentioned before, just put on the contract. They just mentioned: “make sure to check everything while the drivers were there”. Does this phrase mean that I have to know I’ll be charged 20% off the purchase + shipment? And only atm or debit card :).
I wanted to exchange for another set of furniture even more expensive, paying the difference, but same conditions 20% and + shipment cost :)
The agreement below doesn’t mention anything about obligatory debit or cash payments.
The store is always empty and seems like the owners and managers only earn in returns.
So on the product of almost 1400$ the total cost of return was more than 400$. How many paid deliveries could it be!

As if you lean on the side of the table it will break. I called the store within an hour after delivery and now I’ll be charged 20% + shipment 137$ for the return, which they never mentioned before, just put on the contract. I asked several times if I can replace and return an item in any case. I was not informed in words about the 20% charge. Ana mentioned: “make sure to check everything while the drivers there”. Does this phrase mean that I have to know I’ll be charged 20% off the purchase + shipment? And then in the store against the contract and indicated policy I was forced to pay the fee only by cash or debit card :) or my documents will not be submitted. I refused to pay debit card as there was no written policy not in the store, not in my contact, not at the cashier desk saying to pay cash. Moreover main points in my contract were underlined by the sales person, but not the cancellation policy, which was in small letters. And again I asked if I could return or exchange, she confirmed without mentioning about 20% or pointing that in the contract!
I offered to exchange for another set of furniture even more expensive, paying the difference and the delivery, which seems to be fair, but my offer was rejected or considered only after paying 20% and + shipment cost :).
Seems like the store is making money only on 20% of returns. The owners in reviews comment only good reviews, probably they invest in buying “good reviews”
Customer service is rude and have no idea about servicing customers and win-win strategies.
Dear Owner,
I called customer service, wrote complain and said that I would write a review. Also I asked to talk to the General Manager, not the clerks, who can’t even calculate money. Distribution manager said she didn’t care as you have this policy and...
Read moreThe service was absolutely rubbish in this store. I purchased a loveseats that I don't like the color and the size so I tried to return 2 days later after delivery. The store told me to pay 30% restocking fee which I agreed. But they asked for the box too which i didn't have cuz the bulk trash picked up the box next day after delivery. So the store offered me to buy another sofa from them and use the box to return the first sofa and pay 30% restocking fee $240 I accepted even though i didn't wanna buy anything from them. So i went to the store to pay the fee, then the manager told me the delivery fee $80 must be charged for the second sofa I was gonna purchased even though it came with free delivery, she claimed that the delivery guys need to help me to put the first sofa back to the box and take it back, she wouldn't take down the delivery fee anyways. So enlighten me, if I had the box with me and pay 30% restocking fee, aren't they still coming to pick up the sofa and put it in box and take it back? then what do i pay this double fee $240 plus $80 for? Basically the manager was asking for $320 from me for nothing, they get another sale they get first sofa back and they get $320. Good business, right? Do they think ppl are really that stupid? I left the store without paying or buying shit, and of course with anger, you can imagine. I have always bought furnitures from City Furniture and I have never had such shitty shopping experience, I believe other companies wouldn't be as bad as this one. but I DO NOT recommend to buy from this company especially not from Pembroke...
Read moreWent with intentions to purchase a bedroom set. When you first walk in, the show room is decent. Carolina came to assist upon entering but all she said was her name and to let her know if anything was interesting. Afterwards she just followed me around while on her phone. When i finally decided something, she told me it wasn’t in stock but i checked online and it says it was. She was not attentive at all, and kept pushing for the sale. When i said I wanted to apply for the credit card, she just assumed I wouldn’t get it without even asking my history. At the end when i told her that i do have credit history, she ignored that i was trying to decide and jumped into getting my information to apply for the credit. When i said I was going to leave and possibly come back, she immediately just said “bye” and when i said thank you all she kept saying was “bye”. Seemed to have a huge attitude. (Was i cutting into her phone time?) Needless to say, I went to Rooms To Go and met a wonderful gentleman who assisted me to get approved for their credit card, and purchase a set (that was WAY BETTER QUALITY) just a few minutes after visiting Rana Furniture. Never coming back to Rana. Do not recommend at all. Prices are way too high for the bad quality and the staff is not...
