Naturale Salon — Local services in Philadelphia

I was hoping this would be my new spot. The salon is professional, clean, and they use quality products. While the nail tech was very detailed, she buffed my nails so much to the point I had painful red spots where several of my nails are now too thin. This is Nail Care 101: do not over-file a nail. Now there is nothing left to do but let the nails grow completely out before getting another manicure after this one. Very upsetting and especially at these prices. Unfortunately, I don't plan to return.

*Just a short reply to the response below. Before my appt., I called the salon clearly explaining I had one layer of clear powder with standard gel polish on top. I was told it was okay. When I got to my appt., I once again asked the front desk if the single clear powder was okay. She agreed. I then, for a third time, asked the technician if she was okay removing the single layer. She agreed. So that was a total of 3 people I asked to ensure it would be no problem to remove my existing polish. It certainly wasn’t “undisclosed”. The powder also came off with absolutely no problem after soaking for several minutes. I do appreciate the refund I received after requesting this to remedy this situation. But my nails are truly in the worst condition I have ever seen in 10 years of consistent manicures. I wish this salon the best of luck as I know it’s difficult running a small business. I left my previous nail salon after being a faithful client for 4+ years and had a horrible time finding a nail salon that can be my go to.

Then came Naturale Salon and Dary.

My nails were abused and I'm sure I got an infection from a dip powder that was used on me at a prior salon, and quite frankly, the previous appointment almost left me in tears to where I was about to give up and make a hike to New Jersey to get it done but when I called one Friday, Dary was on the line and squeezed me into her schedule the same day and it was a relief.

Dary was so gentle, knowing what my nails went through, sensing how sensitive my nails were and asking me whether it was too painful or the pressure she was applying to get rid of my old gel polish was too much and it was so refreshing to finally relax -- Dary told me how to take care of my nails and though it'll be a bit for it to heal again, I walked out with a fabulous manicure and not in tears.

Two weeks later, my gel still isn't peeling off and after seeing her for a last minute gel pedicure a previous week, I knew I made a right choice in having Dary as my go to nail technician and choosing this salon.

Went in for a gel manicure and one of their specialty pedicures. Service was ok, but my nail bed was cut so now I have a piece of my right thumb nail bed gone and scabbed. I out loud said OW! and all I received back was, sorry. It bled for most of my service and now is a huge scab. Other things were also a little sloppy - putting the warm towels for my hands on the stool the nail tech was sitting on while she stood to finish my nails, my hands were placed directly on the table versus a towel for most of my service, and the nail cutters used were badly rusted. She also wrapped up my pedicure in plastic saying it was dry enough for my shoes. It was not and now I’ve spent $100 and my toes are all scuffed up.
