Prestige Nails Salon — Local services in Philadelphia

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. This place used to be good but all the good staff have recently left. I had a horrible experience with extremely rude staff who did the worst nail job ive ever had. I went with my aunt to treat her for a relaxing day and the techs completely ruined the day. The techs rushed through everything, leaving all my cuticles messy, barely doing any “massage”, getting manicure on skin, and throwing stuff. The staff got into some kind of fight in front of us, yelling at each other and ended up leaving us at the chair to talk amongst themselves. I am not sure if that ruined their mood but I am absolutely horrified at how terribly rude they were, constantly rolling their eyes, sighing loudly, throwing stuff on the floor, and mumbling stuff, yet they still blatantly asked for tip at the end. My aunt’s nails were ridiculously horrible and had sharp protruding parts in the middle that she asked if the tech and file it a bit. She gave so much attitude, sighing, not even acknowledging her comment, and snatching her hand, that we ended up giving up on fixing stuff and filed nails at home (and this is after paying $200 for their terrible service). I recommend you find another place in philadelphia if your new to the area or looking for a change. I went and had acrylic nails refill and the technician was super friendly but did the worst job I have ever had. The color didn’t reach the sides all the way the edges were falling off and rough. I also paid more than what was listed on their board in the salon and online and the quality was way below par for the price. I also had decided to take a break from acrylics after this time and went to take them off and one of my natural nails was green (fungal infection) this is a sign that the place is unsanitary and do not clean their tools in between customers. I could laugh bc they have so many COVID measures that are a little over the top for what the new guidelines currently are yet their tools are obviously not sanitary and being used for multiple people without being cleaned. I will never ever recommend and i would say save your money and look elsewhere never had such a terrible experience let alone an infection to go...

This was honestly the most horrible nail experience I’ve ever had. I requested dip powder on my natural nails and picked a light pink color. The lady doing my nails did 2 dips of white and 1-2 dips of the pink base. She told me she was done and I was very shocked because my nails were not pink at all. She then proceeded to tell me that because of the “color of my skin”, the pink won’t show. I tried to explain that the color of my skin should not prevent my nails from being the pink color I chose. I kindly asked her to use a pink gel to cover it up because, I kid you not, I could still see my nail bed. She grudgingly did and carelessly applied the gel. My nails were very bumpy and she didn’t bother filing it to make it smooth. She didn’t pain the edges of my nails either. I could honestly cry right now.
