Been going there since 1980 first across the street, enjoyed talking to her in German (used to work in Germany before coming to the states and spent time with her husband אָלעוואַהאָלעם enjoying sake and shushi , became friends with their son's at Frank's bar when they opened a satellite store at 13th Street & pine.

Since day one their produce is of the highest quality standards, not once in 44 years did I notice a rotten 🍎❗

My favorite market in Philadelphia. It’s where I go when I need a ripe avocado on short notice. Or when I need homemade kimchi, kimbap, japchae, spicy marinated tofu, and so many banchan dishes. Tina, the owner, makes all of the dishes herself and they’re all incredible. The produce is also just great quality and reliable....

My go to place for fresh produce and last minute ingredients for dinner. Probably in here at least twice a week. It feels tucked away and feels like my secret grocery that I can get in and out...
