Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa — Local services in Pittsburgh

I was visiting Pittsburgh on a short trip and was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this city is—everyone is so friendly! While here, I needed a massage and decided to book at Hand & Stone. From my very first phone call, the experience was excellent. The staff member I spoke with was kind, understanding of my short stay, and quickly booked me in.

When I arrived, the friendliness continued. The reception team was welcoming and professional, making me feel comfortable right away.

My massage therapist, Kaitlyn, was absolutely fantastic. She gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Her technique felt intuitive and deeply connected—at times I noticed her eyes were closed, as though she was completely in tune with the energy and flow of the massage. It reminded me of Eastern-style bodywork, which you rarely find in a typical western (RMT) spa!

We incorporated cupping, including gliding cupping, which was incredible. Kaitlyn didn’t need to use extreme pressure to get results—she instinctively found all the right points and left me feeling completely relaxed and tension-free.

I walked out feeling amazing, both physically and mentally. I would highly recommend Hand & Stone, and especially Kaitlyn, to anyone visiting or living in Pittsburgh. I’m already planning to come back in the spring, and when I do, I’ll definitely be booking with...

I just want to state that I have never been to here/ never have I ever had a massage here. I tried booking here 3xs in the last 3 months (one time every month I tried). I’m not usually one to leave a review for a service I never received but my appointment, every time I have made it, was cancelled the same day of the appt and with less than an hour’s notice. I live maybe 10 mins away so luckily I’m usually pretty responsive but they’ll send an email in hopes that I’m not already driving over to the location. I have to call THEM to ask what Happened to my appt and every single time they tell me someone called out sick. I always book with “Any service provider”. I’m not picky about it. Apparently they get sick over there a LOT. Really disappointed bc I wanted to try out this place and I’m not a believer in leaving a review for a service I’ve never had but just my experience. I work by appts and so I get it happens sometimes but I would never do this to my customers without some way to remedy...

I was super hesitant coming here bc I hadn’t gotten my eyebrows waxed in over 10 years since I get them threaded. I recently moved to Pittsburgh & there aren’t any threading stations around. So I booked an appointment here. I told the worker I was super nervous bc I didn’t want them too thin. I explained how I wanted them. I’d prefer more eyebrow to less so I didn’t mind if there were strays. She reassures me & waxes my eyebrow, she lifts the strip and reapplies it and waxes my brow again, blindly! She gave me the mirror & a huge chunk of my eyebrow was GONE. I said, why is half of it gone & she looks and says, oh I didn’t mean to do that. She apologized but I left without doing the other eyebrow & told the staff I would not be paying for the service as she messed up my eyebrow. They asked if there was anything they could do, I replied, what can you do? & they just stared. Unfortunately I have a botched eyebrow that will take a couple of months...
