The worst service I’ve ever seen, in any US city or other country I’ve ever been in. My food was okay, if a little over priced. Funghi pizza was 6/10, my sangria was 7/10 and meatballs were 8/10. However, we had a 9PM reservation created on 0pentab1e app. We got to the restaurant and were told the kitchen closes in 15 mins. No problem, we placed the dinner order and also ordered drinks. About 10 mins in, we were told the bar also closes in another 10 mins and we ordered another round and waited for our food. Service was pretty quick. Then we enjoyed our meals and the waitress was by maybe 3-4 times to check in/give the bill/collect the bill. After the bill was paid in full, at 10:30pm, someone we hadn’t seen all night and came over and aggressively yelled at our table that they closed at 10pm on Wednesdays and while they “didn’t want to rush us” they were closed. Then they moved away from the table, and continued to erratically yell by the bar. They never told us they closed at 10pm and Google/OT app both said the restaurant closed at 11pm. When we brought this up, the restaurant just told us that Google was wrong and they didn’t know why it wasn’t updated on search engines. We told the waitress that if they had told us it was closed, we would have left, and she replied she didn’t like to rush people. I don’t know why her colleague felt like he could come over and yell at paying customers, after the bill/tip was paid in full, but I wouldn’t go back if they paid me...
Read moreI'll start of by saying I was in the restaurant industry for 10 years so I try not to post reviews unless they are good. This time it couldn't be saved. We were sat around 7:30. Drinks took a little while because it was busy which was understandable. The Chicken Parm looked awesome on other tables so we ordered that and a spaghetti. We waited 45 minutes and then we asked if it was coming soon. She said about 5 more minutes. Then came back out and said the chef burned the chicken parm and would make a new one. Then another 20-30 minutes went by and we asked and it finally came out. Was still burnt, and the spaghetti and meatball was awful, cold and the meatball seamed to not be cooked all the way(how was this not brought out before the chicken parm). They gave us a round of drinks because it took a while but we never saw the manager, we saw her at every other table but never came to explain the situation. We got our bill and it was 100$. Mainly because the terrible spaghetti was 26$ and the lack luster burnt chicken parm was 27$. Would have much rather a discount on the food or even taken off because of the terrible experience but the manager never attempted to come say anything. We will not be returning. The Server did best she could with how busy it was but every other table was getting food long before us and we were sat long before them. Wanted to like this place...
Read moreTook a friend here last night with his wife who had a final night in Pittsburgh due to moving to Chicago. While the ambiance is beautiful, it was completely overshadowed by the 20 minutes it took for a drink order, and the excessive meals that we ordered that were out. My husband and friend ordered a seafood dish for their entree, the waitress came back five minutes later and stated they were out. We ordered a bread appetizer amongst many, many other appetizers, the first order we got 4 tiny pieces of bread with it. Then we ordered two more of the same appetizer because of the tiny portion. The waitress came out with such burned pieces of bread, it was comical. We asked for a different order, then the waitress stated they were out of the bread used and brought out 4 mini crostinis. We were charged for three of those appetizers... Our drinks were filled, only when we requested them to be. The desert menu was verbal only, then we ordered four deserts, one was out. Haha.
All in all. Pasta was phenomenal. The sub par service and being out of so many things made a $300 meal for four a bit lack luster. I'll try it again in a couple months, as it appears it may be going through some...
