Edit: We arrived on Friday, June 6th around 2:45pm. I’m not sure another way to get directly in touch with you. Thank you. ——————————— I saw the Saltwater Gypsies shop on our way out of Port A in 2024. I didn’t have time to stop by before we left but I looked the shop up online and I couldn’t wait to visit the next time we returned to Port A! Fast forward to June of 2025 and we were back in Port A with all of our family. We planned a specific time in our day to visit Saltwater Gypsies and Tippy Toes. We enter Saltwater Gypsies and no one said anything to us or welcomed us in the store. The person behind the counter was unpacking stuff and said nothing the whole time we were shopping around. Then another girl with longer dark hair didn’t even look at us, walked right by us and carried something out the door. We enjoyed looking in the store and purchased a few items but after that not so warm welcome I wasn’t as excited. As we were checking out the girl at the counter did end up talking to us and being kind. We left to walk over to Tippy Toes and we all looked at each other and my sister said to me “No one talked to us in the store and at first I thought the girl that walked by us worked there but I guess not.” We enter Tippy Toes and the girl with the longer darker hair was at the counter entering info on the iPad. I asked her a question about pricing and she looked at me and answered like I was a major inconvenience to her. She was rude during BOTH encounters and we decided not to get toe rings or ankle bracelets because she was such a vibe killer and it kind of ruined the excitement for us. I out of everyone was beyond disappointed. We don’t plan to go back and I wouldn’t make a special stop during your trip to do so either. Not the cool fun vibe you’d expect. Giving two stars for the shop itself as...
Read moreOne of my all time favorite local shops on the island!! You can find unique and fun and beautiful treasures here you won't find anywhere else!! The staff is so welcoming and helpful but also doesn't hover over you while you browse for the perfect gift for yourself or someone else. And there's so much to browse! It's a must stop shop, you'll be hooked on coming back again and again. When you're weary from the sand and surf, hit the shops at Old Town, especially...
Read moreMy daughter wanted a permeant anklet so we stopped in here after being referred by the nice people at Tipsy Toes. This is a very cool little shop with nice staff. They helped my daughter pick out what she wanted and put it on here. They even gave my son protective glasses so he could watch the "weld". She loves her anklet, hopefully we will stop by next visit for her to...
