EDIT: Their response to my review should tell you EVERYTHING you need to know here. The response has since been deleted, hopefully under the direction of a marketing manager. It was a really sad response to a legitimate concern. NO ONE likes getting sick and having their order not handled correctly, or being charged for food they don't receive. These are concerns you should take into consideration when you order from this establishment....Now onto my review 😬 This was the first time my family and myself returned to Little Italy since it was under new management. I walked in to place a takeout order for four people and waited about a half hour for my lunch bounty. The addition of the outdoor tables made it easy for me to wait outside instead of inside, where several patrons were trying to either pick-up, or place an order during lunchtime. The team member taking my order seemed to be in training, so I wasn't particularly bothered by the wait time or having to repeat my order several times. However....they did not include a mozzarella salad, two bowls of soup, and an order of knots with my takeout order. I had to return for the soup and knots, but totally missed that they had forgotten another item until I looked at the bill later. By then it was too late to go back a second time to get the other item. Buh-bye, $8 and part of my lunch. Okay, fair enough, new team, things happen. ...Except I got sick from the food that I did receive. Uncomfortably sick in the timeframe that one would get sick after having takeout. And you know what kind of sick I'm talking about here. I'm just glad it was me and not my grandmother. I don't see myself returning, and I certainly hope that they correct the litany of issues that seem to be going on here so no one else has these experiences.

I have been coming to little Italy for months now and recently they made changes to the cheese and it took a turn for the worst. The cheese doesn’t melt at all, the crust is thin and extremely dry. I used to enjoy coming in to get their pizza. It seems with the expansion of the restaurant they have decided to cut corners on some ingredients. In the picture you can also see there is barely a slice of Italian sausage on the pizza. Sad to say I will no longer return here and will find a pizza restaurant. I will add my reply here since the response from the owner states they haven’t changed their cheese. I can confirm that when I spoke to the young lady on 12/29/21 which is the same person who always answers the phone, stated that you guys changed the cheese when I called to order. She apologized for the inconvenience and stated when I return she would honor the extra cheese for the new purchase at no charge. Since she provided false information she should be fired along with the rude black girl that will start to ring out a transaction and then will walk away without telling you have a nice day or even have the courtesy to hand you a receipt. This is the second time I have come and she waits almost 5 mins to greet or acknowledge you but yet continues to have a side bar conversation with the staff. As I mentioned before I will no longer return this is truly disappointing, Little Italy is not the only pizza restaurant in Port St. Lucie.

Little Italy was indeed a good restaurant to eat pizza, however on the night that me and my family went the wait time for two pizzas were questionably long for two regular sized pizzas. When we were seated we also waited awhile for staff to take our orders for drinks, we were very confused on why we had 3 different waitress and waiters attending to us at the beginning of our dining experience. I do have to say that the owner of the place does seem to try very hard to please his older customers but i felt like their was a lack of attention to others. We had plates and cups sit at our table for a long time, the staff would walk by and notice the growing amount of dishes we had and ignored it. When we received our pizzas the one slice looked like someone had already ate the crust of the pizza and served it. Although the staff and wait time was questionable our waitress was very nice and was constantly asking if everything was good and the owner even came over and asked. If we do decide to ever come back i hope staff and wait times do improve!

Very sad to say, but Little Italy is going down the tubes fast. I am a regular and up until recently ate here at least once a week. The first thing to diminish was the service. All of the good waitresses with the exception of Marianne have left. They have been replaced by incompetent, absent minded individuals who can barely handle remember what you ordered from your table back to the kitchen. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was going there with a party of 6 on a Friday night. We had Heather as our waitress. All of us ordered and explained that we were on separate checks, and who was who. She came back out twice to ask who ordered what before our food arrived. The food came and we ate. The real nightmare came was when it was time to cash our our bills. Instead of giving us each a check, she gave all 6 of us a little tiny strip of paper with a random amount on it that she claims was the total for what we ordered. We each gave her our cards and the little tiny strips of paper to take up to the cashier. After taking our cards she came back to once again ask who ordered what because she didn't know what card belonged to what order. Then back again to ask who was who because she didn't know which cards belonged to which order....at this point it has been almost 20 minuted. Finally someone in our party went up to the counter to find out what was going on. Our waitress and the woman at the counter ringing everything up were going back and forth trying to make proper checks and find out what everyone really needed to pay since the amounts on the little strips of paper were apparently not correct. 40 minutes later we finally got our cards back. Mine was charged a very different amount that what was originally on the little strip of paper. I went up to the cashier, where the waitress still was trying to make heads or tails of other people's checks that she had screwed up. The cashier asked me what I ordered (4th time I had been asked that not including when my order was taken). I told her and she explained that the price on the strip of paper was wrong, and that with what I ordered, I actually owed $5 more that what was on the check that I got back (the one that took them 45 min to figure out). You would think that after all this she would say "don't worry about it. we'll take care of it" , but no she made me pay another $5 to satisfy the third different amount that I was told I owed. Absolutely ridiculous. We have had bad service from Heather a few times before, but chose to ignore it because we love the food so much, but this crossed the line. Will probably still return when Marianne is working, as she is the only good...

I’ve been going to Little Italy for a lot of years. As with any place, over time, staff changes periodically, pricing changes to keep up with times, etc. One thing hasn’t changed though in that time, the food has always remained consistently delicious and REALLY New York styled Italian food and pizza. Service has been off and on depending on the situation of the day and busyness. I have always liked the idea of supporting the small cozy family owned places with a good reputation for being kind and accommodating, especially the owners I am supporting and giving my money to. I always liked the management/owners as they were always very welcoming, friendly, fun, relatable, and helpful in addressing any situation that would arise, which RARELY happened over the years, even when I would get off of work late and come at just about closing time! You know, like a friend. They made you feel like family. The owner always seemed to be there with his staff actually working into the night, covered in flour and sauce really trying to make his patrons happy and greeting them while throwing a pie into the air. By the way, he made the BEST pies and food! I hope you guys can keep it going without him there cooking. I wonder where he went and what he’s doing... Seems the end of an era after nearly 25 years of patronage here. I’ve been there twice in the last few weeks to check it out, see a lot of new faces, and a lot of the same faces. Wasn’t impressed with the pizza or Stromboli both times. The woman at the counter and who answers the phone, seems annoyed all the time, especially on the phone, but I always over looked that because of management and great food but now that also seems to be gone. Feels different, not in a good way. I don’t like the way the the new owners answer these reviews either. On good ones they say, ā€œnot changing a thing and thank youā€ and on bad ones they say, ā€œnew owners, new and 100% improved quality of food and serviceā€. Which is it? Seems to me the new owners are taking credit where it isn’t due yet, and placing blame for others on someone who isn’t there anymore and was a staple in this community for so long. That isn’t a very good first impression for me! Leaves me with a bad taste. So, GOOD LUCK!

I am not sure which part is considered inaccurate since it’s based on my opinion but no, I am not the previous owner...not the greatest way to try and change my...

My call in experience was totally rude and nasty by the associate. Every time I explained my order she would rudely cut me off. When I picked my order up, "VALENTINA H." claimed my sandwich didn't have the turkey on it because they were out of turkey. "VALENTINA H" proceeded to say she called me 3 times to let me know. I asked her what number did she called. She called off my number. I opened my phone thinking somehow I missed the call, but I saw only my call to Little Italy. I showed her my phone, "VALENTINA H" looked at me and rolled her eyes then stated, I don't care what's on your phone. I brushed it off and paid for my 2 sandwiches. When "VALENTINA H" brought my order out she looked at me weird. I said let me check it before you bag it. "VALENTINA H" slammed it on the counter and opened it. Iwas completely shocked when I saw my orders. Neither sandwiches was right and looked horrible. And one sandwich didn't have any meat just bread. At that moment I asked to have my money reimbursed. "VALENTINA H" stated, "we don't refund nothing!" I then asked for the manager. "VALENTINA H" stated, "we don't need managers, so there's no manager here. "VALENTINA H" then stated, "you can take the food or get nothing cause I wasn't getting my money back". I asked for my meat and topping. She went to the back and brought some of my order, shoved it in a bag and walked away. I have been to this establishment plenty of times but NEVER again. My money is way too valuable for this horrible establishment. Simply horrible. I will tell everyone I know, not to ever patronize this business. Especially if they hired a "VALENTINA H!"

UPDATE! The management of Little Italy reached out to me about my recent visit and my concerns. I would like to update my review because I felt they understood what happened and ensured me that it definitely wouldn't happen again. I'm sure everyone has bad days or even weeks and not to bring it to work and on to the customers. So......I will be patronizing this establishment again. I do love the food and the wide variety of it's menu. Thank you again Management for caring about...
