I came into Island Root Kava Bar expecting a chill drink and some good vibes, but what I got was an experience I won’t forget—thanks to Savannah. From the second I walked in, she greeted me with a smile so warm it could melt the ice in your kratom tea. (Not that you’d want that—it’s perfect already, especially when Savannah’s behind the bar.)

She’s not just a kava expert—she’s also a kratom connoisseur. I had no clue what I wanted, but Savannah swooped in like a beverage superhero, guiding me through the menu like it was her life’s mission to make my day better. And spoiler alert: mission accomplished. She recommended the perfect kratom blend for me, and I swear, it felt like my brain got a nice little vacation.

Savannah’s customer service is next-level. She’s attentive, hilarious, and has this knack for making you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. Honestly, if they don’t already have her picture hanging up as “Employee of Forever,” they’re doing it wrong.

THE best kava around, by far! Chill, relaxing vibes at all times. I love that this location is family friendly! Feels like a safe haven! The kava tenders are just a truly solid crew. Respectful, attentive, accommodating, and genuinely nice people! German is a sweetheart thru and thru! He cares about his guests and makes them feel welcome and comfortable. Always a pleasure to see him working so hard behind the bar and be served by him. Brooklyn is a real gem, just pure and real, she puts her heart and soul into everything she does at Island root. Sydney is a bundle of joy- super thoughtful and goes the extra mile to take care of her guests. And Cody is patient, kind, and fun! Savannah is cool as a cucumber. They have a dream team. Genuinely awesome ppl and an awesome hangout. You will not be disappointed! The drinks are fantastic and have a deeply calming effect. I wish I could be there all the time, it's that inviting. Best kava bar in the county. Nick is a supremely skilled kava maker! You know you're always gonna get that fire quality from this...

Incredibly clean kava bar, welcoming environment. I have met a handful of employees and the managers, and have only been met with positive vibes and respect.

Savanah is a great kavatender, kind, genuine and attentive but not over bearing. Every time I feel like I may need another beverage she is there at the perfect time to help me.

Sydney has an upbeat attitude, and a great person to have a conversation with. Her service was great, and very informative

German gives off a very calm attitude, which is really nice when your trying to get away from the daily stress. I was not able to talk to him much but he seems like he would have some really good perspectives I could learn from.
