Bernie's Fine Meats — Local services in Port Washington

I love this place. It is a great asset to Port Washington. They make some really great sausage here among other things. A few of my favorite items are the liver sausage, mustripen, jerky, hot dogs, and when the hens are producing, the farm fresh eggs. The steaks are not the cheap supermarket discount meats but for the price, I won't buy anything else. We don't do steak often maybe two or three times a month, but when I do its a bone in Ribeye from Bernie's. Also don't forget their pork chops (our favorite), they will ask if you want a rub put on them, and tell them yes because its fantastic. Just go. Get in the car, and take a trip to this fantastic place. When you step in the door you're greeted simultaneously by great people and amazing smells. Fantastic selection, good quality, fair prices and knowledgeable staff. The beef jerky is amazing and I've expanded my culinary range immensely by just taking time to browse around and try new things - which is possible because everything is of the highest quality, you know it will be good. So, this place is pretty cool. As soon as you walk in the door you can tell you're in a meat store with the aroma. This place caught my eye will walking around the cute downtown of Port Washington. I'm into retro and their sign is what captivated me to go inside. I went with some summer sausage as I was on a road trip. Pretty pricy at $8.50. I happened to later stop at Johnsonville and got some there for $4.29. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Bernie's will be worth the price...
