Love there coffee cake, the morning buns the BAP breakfast sandwich, all are wonderful. What gets me is how cheap they get at times. Have ordered a BAP breakfast sandwich on sourdough and they take 1 slice and cut it in half which makes a really small sandwich for $10. you end up with the 2 eggs squeezing out all over. Really you couldn't use a second piece....would that really cost that mich more?? Was in the shop this weekend ordered a large decaf coffee. The girl took my order for that and other items I ordered, then someone else come out from the back and made a decaf latte. When I told her I ordered a coffee not a latte because I'm lactose intolerant she gave me this look of annoyance and made me the coffee. When I questioned the price difference she told me I ordered a 16 oz coffee and those are about the same price as a latte. So if i ordered a 16oz coffee why does the receipt say 12oz latte. She never apologized for their mistake, she then offered me the latte that I just got done telling her I couldn't drink without getting sick. Oh and the large coffee that I originally ordered on their board was priced at 3.75. So good food not so great service. They dont even know what that is. It was like people are a annoyance to them that they have to deal with. Great pasties, really good bread and don't expect friendly service or even them getting it right. Starbucks doesn't even charge $6 for a large decaf coffee. Even after that the women never offered to correct the price she did point out I ordered a 16oz coffee not a large. Which since she was in the back and a different women took my order I still wonder how she knew what I ordered when she wasn't there and then if she knew what I ordered why did she make me a latte. Happy father's day, here is the wrong drink oh well fix it but your going to pay for our mistake. Thanks for coming have a great day...oh by the way starbucks only charges $2.95 for a 16oz Pikes place decaf coffee sadly this will be my last time dealing with this business since they clearly have no clue how to treat people. Really $6 dollar...
Read moreWe had a very unfortunate experience once again at Daily Bakery. We arrived at 1:50, kitchen closes at 2:00 with entire bakery open until 3:00. Just 3 of us, ordered quickly. At 1:54 the owner came swiftly from back in the kitchen and instructed the girl at the register that the kitchen was closed and that our order was void. We were shocked to say the least. My sister pointed out the it was 1:54. We received a very snotty “Well, it’s only 5 minutes before we stop serving” and started mocking us. My 84 year old mother, and my sister and I were shocked by the behavior. I expressed my disappointment and explained that is not how you treat customers. The mocking continued. If I could leave a 0 star review I would have. I would not recommend this business. Behavior like this comes from the top. When it starts with the owner, this is not a business I will...
Read moreFull disclosure - the owner and I attend the same church and she told me about her shop. Oh. My. Goodness. It is amazing. I’m a foodie and have been craving a really excellent breakfast/lunch spot since moving to Milwaukee 3 years ago. FOUND IT! Even though it’s 1/2 away, we will be regulars here. Perfectly crafted breads, wonderful breakfast, and out of this world sandwiches. The space is serene and happy. Not something I’d have expected in little Port Washington - it reminds me more of Poulaine in Paris - truly. If you’re nearby - maybe passing on I-43 - it’s worth a stop. Staff was very friendly and helpful and my 5 yo son enjoyed the children’s books they have to borrow. Really...
